  1. I was going to say, he seems in the same mold as most of the top undersized strikers like Suarez and Aguero, just doesn't have the speed or explosiveness they do. yet
  2. Yes. Probably with only two changes to the side. Haidara and willo in for dummet and saylor.
  3. Simpson and Steele are both derby old boys. Would think you're right in Simpson certainly staying put. Steele has worked with mclaren at several places so could definitely see him coming. Would allow woodman to join Pardew and we would absolutely benefit, cracking reputation. Would be slightly worried about him keeping Carver on tbh. I'm hesitant with McLaren. He is hit and miss in his roles and hardly and inspiring choice from the average fan point of view. We have a real chance to heal some wounds, unite fans and inspire a brighter future. I don't think he is the man to inspire fans or has the personality. We could certainly do worse though, he is the best coach England has to offer. Apparently a few new quotes here about him not being interested with the newcastle job.. nowt new though or any real denial. http://www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/Derby-County-Steve-McClaren-longer-flattered-big/story-25793559-detail/story.html
  4. Into the window we go then. That's a striker completely out of the question now. Or does Streete finally get his chance. Good did just return from Injury In an ideal world we buy a decent CB and farm out Good, Satka and Streete to recallable loan stints.
  5. Upside: won't need to worry about the distraction of an FA cup run after Laurel and Hardy cost us the game with their ineptitude again on Saturday.
  6. Looks like he might get another chance with the new coach.. if said new coach wants him or our front office don't shift him asap which might well be the case given his previous history with staff and players. Either way, think he is still done here and has fallen into believing his and his agents own hype. his talent is undeniable, as is his harsh treatment by our regime. Like to think he would grab this extra final chance with both hands but Attitude maybe beyond repair, thought he was highly motivated to shove it down Pardews throat when he moved to Hull. Hasn't worked out. Fingers crossed he swallows some pride as does anyone else at the club with an issue. A fit and motivated Ben Arfa is in the clubs best interest.
  7. Good god, imagine we actually get a coach that isn't stuck in the traditional british past and knows how to deal with flair players and form a creative free flowing team. Tbh I have seen very little from Cabella, but he looks like he could be useful when settled and given a chance with a coach that might know what he is doing.
  8. It will be an almost unchanged side, which is why I posted the above. He won't want to make any changes at all, (Cisse aside) especially from a winning team. Plus as mentioned we just removed the focal part of a useless coaching set up with the other dead weight replacing the figurehead. Not a chance we will look any different. If anything I expect us to look worse today. Lots of players apparently somehow liked Pardew, think we Will be a bit down, complacent and turned over easily.
  9. I hope that this is what you think Carver will go with? And not what you would pick... no I would have dropped colo for willo and Perez for riviere
  10. Alnwick Taylor Coloccini Janmaat Dummett Tiote Sissoko Colback Armstrong Gouffran Perez
  11. Jagshemash! Itz Niiiiceeeeee! Dressed up for the Pardews gone party?
  12. Oh Alan Pardew.. You are sooooo last year.. Thank fuck.

    John Carver

You left out his quotes about SBR telling him he would be manager of Newcastle in the future. Hope he is out on his ear in a weeks time. Should have been the minute he starting ripping into his own fans.
  14. Good god.. This isn't his first rodeo.. Or even first time as caretaker here. Press desperate to hype him up to get him hired so we are back in the news in another couple of months with everything falling apart.
  15. Well that rules it our for starters. Like Ashley cares enough to a) know who is being approached or b) care enough to tell anyone c) have friends to tell.
  16. Yeah went to watch Derby on the 20th against Norwich. Have family there. He is highly thought of here and is the team he had built. Game was absolutely rancid though. Derby looked full of cloggers, scared to attack and out of ideas other than giving it to Ibe. Who was pretty slow and clueless himself. Played it back to the keeper at every opportunity and refused to close down. Told it was an off day. Even Will Hughes was nothing to write home about when he came on. Looked alot like us under Pardew tbh but at a lower level. Just one game though.
  17. If it's true Spalletti, Pereira and rijkaard should be getting a call.
  18. Already better than Carver. But oh god no...
  19. If Tuchel is not interested now when he is unemployed, I would be surprised if we persue him for later.Sounds like a polite thanks but no thanks..looking for a better club in that article. Not to say any part of it is remotely true.
  20. Tbh if we could actually get De Boer in the summer or someone of his standard, I would be pretty happy with Sherwood and Sir Les in the meantime.
  21. Carver comparing Pardew to Sir Bobby and Keegan now and making plays for the job full time. One thing is certain, I would rather have JFK back than Carver in charge.
  22. Why? Is there a British coach that will fit into our set up? What I would say is that talk of De Boer or even McLaren are probably unlikely as they have a name and would consider themselves to have some pull with press being on his side or at boardroom level or clout in any major decisions. - someone with experience working in a set up like ours - good working with youth ie happy to work with what we have with signings as a last resort. - relatively unknown with something to prove. With full subservience to the overlords. - cheapish to hire. have to go abroad really to get someone that will definately be happy in our set up and used to it. Otherwise we will be in the same situation in a couple of years
  23. Doesn't rule out Schtevie..though. don't think he would fit but we could do worse.
  24. Exactly. We have a very good crop of younger players at the club. Whomever comes in will surely be expected to work with them primarily with minimal money to bring in players as a last resort. We have a wealth of potentially great younger players. And a few more that Pardew has ruined that could be somewhat salvageable like Sammy, Ferguson, vukic and Campbell. Could someone get obertans head together? Get Cisse back onside? Bench Gouffran and make good use of him as a sub? Use Anita and get his career back on track? So many questions.. optimism is so high.. even if it's briefly!
