  2. We are only losing potential and hope he will stay injury free and finally prosper here. He has been utterly useless for us, granted fate has lent a hand. I'd think we are serious about keeping moussa/wijnaldum if he goes. We need an attacking mid. Maybe rafa fancies Perez there.
  3. Why are people so obsessed with this idea? The last time I was in Newcastle, in like 2003, was just about around when they stopped brewing it there. It is only Newcastle in name now. Great logo that carries amazing memories though. I think you answered your own question there. Increasingly torn about the strip. Don't want to buy it with the wonga logo. Yet it looks soo good and my optimism and passion feels like it is being slowly restored alongside pride in the club.
  4. Told him he is free to leave?
  5. A New England manager for a New England.
  6. Ideally we need another couple or cbs. We could live to January on just Hanley coming in though. Lascelles, mbemba, hanley with hayden, dummett, gamez and maybe other younglings to step up should be fine. Might also be frugal to get a loan or wait til January anyway so we know where we are at. It's hard brining in new players when lascelles and mbemba should be our first choice.
  7. Why? He's not an established prem player. Still a young guy looking for an opportunity to feature week in and week out, which he'd get with us. I just think he's good enough to play regularly in the Premiership, and for a decent side. Yeah, I agree. I just think the kind of club likely to give him that kind of opportunity I the prem would likely be a newly promoted side, or one that is not that established or high profile. So joining a club like Newcastle under Benitez that is clearly pushing to return asap, is likely an attractive proposition. If he does well, like Townsend did, and we return straight back up, he'd be a fixture in the team going forward in the prem under a great manager, and a at a club with a lot more potential and better profile. We need another winger so will be interesting to see whats going on. He is clearly holding out for something, scousers are inserting and insane amount of clauses into sales though including sell on and by back, this could just be the hold up too. I thought the Bournemouth deal was already done a couple of days ago.
  8. Allardyce reporting he hasn't been contacted! Still haven't heard anything.. feel free to call me anytime like. I have my mobile with me at all times. All times..
  9. 18m plus ibe would be nice
  10. Regarding Ibe. I'd agree in trusting rafa. Heard he has been frustrating lazy and getting a little big headed at Liverpool. For what it's worth I watched him play for derby against Norwich two years ago. You could tell there was something about him but he had a bad game. Looked surprisingly slow and ineffective (I realise he isn't slow but he did looked it that day). Both was a surprise finding out who he was later. Craig Russell was their best player that day by a mile.
  11. We've rarely seen peak Sissoko in a Newcastle kit and people think it's because he's lazy or actually just a s*** player. He's clearly a talented footballer, but if I had to play alongside absolute dogshit for three years, under the "leadership" of Pardew, Carver, and McClaren like he has, I'd be more than a little miffed as well. The times that he has attempted to make things happen on his own, he gets hounded out when it inevitably fails. Despite most of the other worthless c***s in the squad standing put doing f*** all, dicks in hand, tongues wagging. It's clear that Sissoko wants away, but I'll never understand fans who bitch and bitch about how poorly run the club is and then hound out a player who doesn't want to play for such a shithouse operation. Nailed it While I agree with a lot of the sentiment you should then also apply that free pass to most of the squad, Wijnaldum, Cisse, Janmaat, Colocini, even Colback has looked good at some point of his career. Sissoko has been just as guilty standing around not arsed, too many times. I also think we can credit the poor form of most of our players to the horrific coaching they have had. They are however all professional footballer paid in part by us the fans. Speaks to their attitude as professionals if its that bad they are happy to put up with it and coast through. I am happy for Sissoko to stay as Rafa was getting a response from him and he would tear up the championship. He is the type of player we haven't had before and will be next to impossible to replace like for like. His time looks to have come and gone though, his potential was never fulfilled here and I am equally as happy to cash in and get players that will fight week in week out for this club in his stead.
  12. He'll never make it, stage fright at every big show... http://img.bleacherreport.net/img/images/photos/002/492/923/RAW_1058_Photo_070_crop_north.jpg?w=630&h=420&q=75
  13. Didn't you see? He's responsible for all ills in the world according to some on here Only the ones he can't be arsed with.
  14. We've been linked to Pritchard already haven't we. Likely be him if we get anyone.
  15. Can join dorothy and toto at palace.
  16. http://www.football-italia.net/87105/thauvin-awaits-lazio-all-clear Thought he looked far too happy in the Ireland training pics.
  17. I'd agree with the apples and oranges except this was wijnaldums first year in a new league, at a new club playing under a terrible coaching regime alongside a team plummeting. I'm not going to say his invisibility in too many games was acceptable but he certainly has more excuses to fall back on than Sissoko. I've said it before and I will say it again. If we had managed to stay up the majority of the board would be optimistic and seeing his goal return as a very promising first season rather than using him as another scapegoat for many players and management's failure.
  18. Handbags. I'm in the minority with keeping wijnaldum. If we managed to fetch upwards of 25m I will gladly escort him there myself. Confident we could bring a couple of players in that would excite me more than a sulky gini. Now you want £25m for someone you wanted out of the club What are you talking about chuckles? I think I'm in the minority of wanting to keep him. Never said I wanted rid but if we get upwards of 25m it's too good to turn down.

  20. I wondered how I could hear thunder when there isn't a cloud in the sky today. Mitro rage.
  21. Think we have to be careful with getting another striker tbh. If we replace Cisse with an automatic starter I don't know what message that sends to Mitro, while I don't think competition is a bad thing he seems to be a confidence player and it could break him. Giving him the 9 could really be the making of him, he also really understands and likely craves it being a boyhood fan. Either way I am sure Rafa can convince him whatever role he plays will be in his best interest. Probably need to bring in a backup physical, target man with experience. I wouldn't be surprised to yet see McCormack in, would be hard to leave he or Mitro out.
  22. Reece Oxford in exchange please. Granted I realise its a non-starter.
  23. Or the most epic fail in championship history. We should be far better on paper but this is definitely a different championship to the last time we were there. Villa will go all out in the transfer market, several other clubs have new owners too. I am 100% confident we are giving ourselves the best chance possible though which is all we can hope for.
