I know this will probably have Ronaldo foaming at the mouth, but if Tiote was happy to stay, I'd really like him here next season. The only reason I want him gone is if he doesn't want to be here. Our few matches where we got results and performances last season were generally when he was in the side. Him and Abeid were the only two midfielders we had a year ago that could physically impose themselves on the opposition. Depends who we are looking at bringing in. He can be very effective with a manager not asking him to attack and try rockstar passes, instead keeping it simple breaking play up and protecting the back four. Given his age and the fact he wanted out I would have no problem cashing in now. I am sure Rafa would get the best out of him if he stays though. Probably better options to bring in though.

We will need two CB's if we are binning Colo and Saylor, which we should be. Wouldn't expect Satka or Good to be stepping in either, likely out the door. Could see both of the above coming in if Mbemba is off, don't think he will be though. Would prefer Dunk and Agger. Agger would be fantastic. Hope the Iorfa links are true regardless of keeping Janmaat. We need a decent young backup..

Plenty of decent players to pick up in the Championship and around though. Ideally I would like us to dump Colo, Saylor, Tiote, Riviere, Cisse, Thauvin and if we have to cash in on Krul, Wijnaldum, Sissoko and Janmaat to build I don't mind. Would like to keep the rest though. That said I am not convinced Anita will be useful in the championship strength wise. I like him but I don't know if he can really offer us what we need. Think Shelvey would rock the championship but also it worries me Rafa didn't really use him, can't see that changing unless he sees a new role for him and wants to spend the summer changing him. Also so much depends on fitness and keeping players healthy - If we can't improve then the likes of Dejong, Mbabu, Aarons, and Haidara are useless to us. I think they could all offer us something. Would like us to try and get Dembele from Fulham although there is a bunch of interest in him from Premier league teams. Rather him than McCormack, although the latter would bring us goals and could play behind Mitro. We need an experienced hand upfront that will get us goals. A striker pool of a new player with Mitro, Perez, Armstrong and Toney should be more than strong enough. Midfield needs reinforcing both centrally and out wide, two new CB's a RB either to replace or back up Janmaat is important too. Keeper is the only area we don't need to reinforce.

Speechless really - Best relegation ever! Hard to put into words the impact this man has had on the club, fanbase and city. Even with Keegan at the time he was an unknown quantity, Sir Bobby was coming home at the end of his career. This feels like a combination of Sir Bobby and Keegan appointments yet still completely new. In terms of respect, this man has no connection with the club, is at the peak of his Career yet still came to us and despite dropping a division and likely getting more attractive offers has bought into the club and is sticking with us. My admiration for his humble sacrifice to try and make this club great again has no words. Thank you Rafa.
