Newcastle United XI 0-1 Arsenal - 19/5/13 Post Match reaction from p. 29
toontownman replied to JH's topic in Football
Why we have emre as phsyio? -
The writing is on the wall and its pretty obvious... Pardew did say he was going to add another coach.
-
Better if he offered the fans money off tickets next year for having to watch complete dross all season.
-
Like with sticks..when they get of the team coach or something?
-
From who? Tulisa.. apparently he can crash on her couch in London.
-
If there is someone that has had a rougher season than us its Raylor.. absolute disaster for him. Wishing him all the best in his recovery.bad news it looks like he will be sidelined even longer. Hopefully the staff, players and fans can keep his spirits up.
-
This, although he is supposed to be a CB primarily. Coaches need to work out what is best for him and he needs to do the same. He will never break in at CB but has a chance if he concentrates on RB.
-
Shola stealing Ferguson and Beckham's thunder? Obviously thought better of it.. Let those guys have the spotlight best not block it for them.
-
Very sad day tomorrow.. Refuse to believe it's his last game for us. Feels like shearer retiring all over again.
-
Nah fulham surely been linked there for ages. Wouldn't rule out Norwich as an outside bet too. There will be a place for him in the premiership somewhere. Watch him move to Swansea and Laudrup work his magic.
-
And Colos party makes sense... Obviously a simmo is leaving celebration, explains why he isn't there.
-
Oh we will lose heavily to Arsenal.. But Pardew will still be here. I do resent the pardew is the biggest cunt in football jibes of which there are many. He is clearly out of his depth and was from day one, he is in the biggest job of his life, not many of us would quit in a similar dream job position, especially if we believe we have the abilities to turn things around which he obviously does (have the belief). He is also clearly passionate about the job and for the most part honest (protecting players and ego a bit too much aside) I think he is too worried about making himself look weak in abandoning his useless tactics or team selections, yeah he can't come out every week saying he is at fault even when he is but it is his reluctance to swallow his pride and change things when they are clearly not working that is killing us. Ironically if he made the effort to try he would find more fans onside rather than against an calling him weak. Is he largely a shit manager, yes but there are scores of more odious people in the world of football to be brandishing pardew one of them. He won't resign with good reason (for himself) he won't get a better chance at a bigger club. The people we need to be more hacked off with are the people running the club who have a clear chance to improve things almost overnight by replacing pardew. Hopefully we bring in a coach that is better than the combined sum of what we Have now and Pardew takes this season and his lucky arse off to loose some of his ego and learn from his many mistakes. That's about as hopefully as it gets!

Perfectly matches our board and ownership. Achieving status quo every year staying in the premier league and turning over a profit. any success after that is a bonus.
-
Darn when I saw the thread bump on my phone I thought he had retired.
-
In their theory just having consistency in the management and coaching team, then spending and recruiting wisely should be enough to keep us in the premier league. Seems he would rather that then have his boat rocked by a far superior manager that would be more demanding of the board and would also have the fans on his side to add to the board room pressure. I think this summer is a sign of his intentions for the club, if he replaces Pardew and also invests a little he is here for the long haul and still interested in the club. Otherwise I would expect him to be trying to keep the structural status quo until he a) makes his money back with a bit of interest or b) a take over is in the offing.
-
Wasn't really brain science that he would play better when he had true competition at right back. A winding down contract wouldnt have hurt either. That said the clubs reluctance to offer anything easily could have caused the opposite reaction, he deserves credit for being professional. I am happy to have him stay in the squad. We saw the same in the past with our fullbacks if they don't have competition they get complacent.
-
What a guy. Will be a miss around the club, will be interesting to see if he makes the jump into management.
-
Pardews tactics yet again put people to sleep. Obviously he is ask AVB if he can come to Spurs training sessions to observe when he is out of a job in the summer.
-
Really think Rafa would be interested... At least up until he spoke to Ashley and derk. Absolutely scandalous he is available and we wouldnt try for him. He could legitimately get us back into that top 5/6 regularly, very few could.
-
He and Carroll are going to tear up the toon next year!
-
Depends on the price IMO. If there is better value elsewhere we will do that.
-
We need 5 players really. Another GK - to replace Harper Another CB - to replace Colo Another RW - we need someone in the Ben Arfa mould for the right wing 2x Strikers - A target man and a pacy skillful striker - Remy and Aubermayeng would be immense and totally unlikely. RB - I don't think Simpson is staying but I don't mind him as back up. He needs competition. I think that Tavernier or Santon could cover well enough there too. CB - Really persuading Colo to stay should be top of the list. Either way we could do with one more to replace Williamson. Tavernier, Good and Streete arent ready yet. LB - Covered with Haidara, Santon, Ferguson, Anita and even Guti if needed DM - Could be argued we need more here but I think we are covered CM - we have talent here if utilized correctly. I also think Marveaux could be our secret weapon through the middle. LW/RW - We dont have a huge amount of talent for the wings Ben Arfa aside. ST - We need to replace Ameobi and add two more classy strikers.
-
Absolutely gutted for Raylor. Hope he manages to overcome this very big hurdle in his career. Top bloke.

I could agree with the calls for a longer chance and consistently a lot better if we hadn't got consistently worse as a footballing side while improving the quality of our squad. It is practically football murder every week. He sucks the life out of our skillful players rather than helping them meet and exceed their potential. He is clearly ruining the investment the club has made and he is alienating supporters that find the club at the same time. I like the bloke but he has had his chance it's been two years and he hasn't got the team to gel as an attacking unit, combine with the above he shows absolutely no signs he will do anything to improve the situation. I don't agree with sacking managers if they deserve a chance Pardew has simply had his and made things worse. With the amount of quality managers out there this summer it would be an absolute disaster if we didn't upgrade.

Need to whitewash those cockney mafia banners and get the "please don't leave us Colo" ones made.
