Think we were far, far more boring just before signing Sissoko and Debuchy, like. The first of that season we were absolutely f***ing abject. Carroll, Barton, Nolan and fucking Routledge were more exciting to watch. Shows how much coaching and set up makes a difference.

Still think we would get Benteke for 12m. Stock dipped a bit last season and Lerner couldn't care less at this stage.

Urgh. One in, one out, like-for-like replacements with established players Cabaye, Debuchy and Remy leaving the club. Used nothing outside the Cabaye and Debuchy money and still with obvious deficiencies in the squad. Fantastic window. Naysayers. On course for a good transfer window. However.... Still need another proven striker, which will cost likely more money than we want to pay. Also if we let Mapou, Hatem, Jonas, Obertan, Marveaux and anyone else go... they also need replacing. Really we need; a top Striker, quality CB, another Winger and possibly a deep lying creative mid before I join the bandwagon and start nodding my head in respect like the churchill dog. Until they have at least got a couple more quality players in.. celebrating is potentially going to leave you like this..

While a deep lying playmaker to replace cabs would be great, I can see pards being happy picking two from: Anita Tiote Sissoko Colback With vuckic, bigi, abeid and maybe even Kemen pushing for minutes if they all stay around. Would be nice to have someone creative though to lessen the load on Dejong or step up if he is injured. Injuries to siem or Remy and it looks very grim again.

Still harbouring hopes we will get Payet. Obertan/marveaux/Ben arfa and Gutierrez are dead to Pardew so we could really do with another quality winger.

Surely Riviere is the cheap alternative to Lacazette? are they not pretty similar? Can't see us getting both if so. Still think we are hedging our bets on Remy, god knows why. Not really sure Riviere or Lacazette are solid enough to lead the line though. We desperately need someone that will get us 15-20 goals and is proven. Darren Bent is on his way... Siem to the right wing, Bent #10 and a re-signed Shola up top.

Seems a bit inconsistent by all reports but has a good upside, pace, strength, power and is good in the air. Was certainly tipped for big things a couple of years ago. Happy to welcome him here tbh provided we sign a main no.9 that can guarantee 15-20 goals a season.
