West Ham agree fee in region of £15m with Liverpool for Andy Carroll
toontownman replied to Pilko's topic in Football
It is a stupid clause, like he would have ever been sold for more than 35m! On the flipside 25% is a crazy amount for Liverpool to agree on if it's for any fee, not just profit. -
The little shitehawk.. will be announcing his intent to play for England now imo. Shame he will probably go backwards at Q.P.R. and never get the call, serves him right.
-
Douglas.. literally too fat to leave Twente.
-
Did he grow his long dreads back yet after shaving his hair short? Maybe that is what we are waiting for.. be a deal breaker for me like.

Blast from the past... France forward Bafetimbi Gomis has revealed plans to snub interest from Tottenham to remain at Lyon this summer. The 26-year-old has proved himself as one of the most consistent performers in French football, scoring ten or more goals in each of the last six seasons, while also racking up a number of assists. http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-news/football/premier-league/transfer-rumours/120717/france-striker-ready-snub-tottenham-interest-176802#vObq8cZm4mJObAc5.99

We've signed Lionel Messi and appointed Skirge as a coach. Quiet day. Marley has replaced Graham Carr.
-
Not a winger.. but believable all the same.

Nah, he is just pissed off he is going and being as big a prick as he can be.

Good to hear. It is like we gave up foreign strikers after Zamberla.

Early rounds don't cup tie players.

West Ham agree fee in region of £15m with Liverpool for Andy Carroll
toontownman replied to Pilko's topic in Football
Cisse was such a freak you can't use that as an example. The chances of finding someone so complete as a striker for so cheap are unbelievably slim. That said, Carroll isn't worth near 20m regardless. Ba - free Cisse - £9m Jelavic - £7m Pogrebnyak - free Giroud - £12m Pogrebnyak? Defoe --> Reading 10m (granted it didn't happen but that is the price they were talking about - to put English player prices into perspective) Edit.. apparently the last links were 5-8. Sure it was 10m to start with... could have been some Spurs ITK hype. -
This bit suggests he isn't a free agent and has a club Is our reserve coach harry redknapp? Gary Glitter tbh.
-
Oh, you didnt know?...He wanted to be round Cabaye's house to watch the DX reunion.

Good call, think we are out of the picture where Niang is concerned, sure he will pick Spuds or Arsenal.
-
Yeah, had been trying to ignore that. Ironically he is the type of striker I think we should be looking to add to the first team, hopefully he keeps improving and fills that need, he looked good last year and a slow pre-season is expected for most players. As for the youth/reserves I guess we have JJ Hooper who is coming up 19, but I don't know that he is ready to break through. Beyond that, do we have anyone coming through up front?
-
Think we need two without Ba leaving..someone for the first team pool and another youngster for the reserves.
-
Makes sense. Apparently Xisco can't even make an outing with the reserves, we didn't take him on tour did we? or did we actually dump him somewhere in Europe on the way, can see him getting tied to the bus and being made to run behind while everyone laughs at him.
-
Sorry should have put a question mark on the end or something.. just speculating.. not MJ or anything, although there is a 50/50 chance of him being here or not come September.

West Ham agree fee in region of £15m with Liverpool for Andy Carroll

Don't see Carroll sticking a transfer request in. He has the most to lose if the move doesn't go ahead and wants to keep the fans onside. That said it is a pivotal time of his career and like Pardew says his next move is the most important for him. If he stays and gets predominantly benched then it won't just be his price tag that drops, mentally it will be hard to pick himself up. I am biased but I genuinely think his best move is to get back here. I don't think there is another club that could pick him up mentally and restore his form, not one that would be interested anyway. -
Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa is on his way.

I have a confession and sincere apology to make. I put Debuchy, Carroll, Anita and Douglas into my Newcastle team in Fifa last Monday. Things have gone tit's up since, but do I take them out and risk them not coming at all. Humble apologies.

Does the latter part matter? Only slighty more than the former.
