So once Ritchie, Dummett, Lascelles and Krafth have come on today.. ...Parkinson next to avoid having to play Hall? -
While Phillips seems the universal solution I can see the hesitancy. Given our track record and his own injury record and lack of games, there is a high probability we pay a ton of money for a loan to Man City and then he gets injured and doesn't play for us. Our level of intensity and playing/training style could cause issues too but it's not like Man City are going to be slouches of any less intense than we are, so that's less of an issue. His positives knowing the league and being able to perform in it outweigh the potential negatives. It's a gamble for a big loan fee and we will risk losing him to other clubs gambling later in the window for the loan fee to be lowered.

Thats crazy talk imo. He can play in Mid like. He is younger than Solanke, different type of striker but deadly and great at setting up plays and his movement is tremendous. Howe would be incredible for him. Lille have put his price sky high in previous windows and blocked sales. He has relentlessly been linked to most top clubs in the world. There is also a reason Solanke plays in the

They will accept and then he will turn us down after everything is booked in for the travel and medical.
-
How much are they quoting for Solanke? Seems like we would likely get someone like Jonathan David for cheaper. Lille wanted €35m apparently.
-
We aren't looking for any player. We are looking for THE player.
-
Did they change the Roy Keane name graphic after the game from "former Sunderland manager" to "four time premier league winner with Manchester United"?
-
Professional performance. Well done lads.
-
3 minutes ffs.
-
Aye the last month and a half springs to mind! I'm taking this.
-
Isak you cheeky kernt.
-
Tindall: "Time for some subs Eddie?" Howe: " yeah but then I might have to play Hall." Tindall: "Matty, warm up."
-
Damn. So close from Gordon. Nice win back from Miley.
-
Possibly nervous given the occasion. Not that he ever shows that usually.
-
Amazing scenes. It's either two yellows or none. Ridiculous. Let's have 3 please lads.
-
Leaving huge holes in the middle. Need to fix that pronto.
-
Fuck me. We let them have a shot on goal. Embarrassing.
-
Such deflation in the studio at the scoreline and performance. Lol
-
About time. Let's tear them apart now.
-
It's a free kick if anything.

Think most of society is a sucker for a redemption story and arc. We are conditioned to it with soaps and tv lol. Given his background and upbringing its amazing Barton has come as far as he has. He has always seemed to be a 1 step forward and 2 or more like 3,4,5 steps back personality though. Despite glimpses of something different he is what he is for better or likely worse.

We seem deadset on gambling on avoiding short term pain for long term FFP gain. I do think we will bring at least a couple of players in though, even if they are loans.

No way that stays like that. Got to be an elaborate ruse. What are they even thinking. Lovely gesture but good way to alienate your own fan base lol -
Not sure what was going on with his judgement of the ball when in the air. He had a mare today at times but he was alone. Diaz was fantastic too.
