Shepherd would have sacked him the exact same time Ashley did. Allardyce was a disaster for us, even the players thought he was a joke. We had the chance of getting MON and he blew that one. He is the encyclopedia of mistakes. His position at the time the club was sold was unbearable. World class striker sorry but He has all the ability and skills to be one, he just needs decent coaching and application, the latter being the biggest problem.

Add Guthrie to that list and I'm with you, but be realistic man, we would be lucky to keep one of them let alone all. Bassong and Oba are saleable assets, even if we dont want to sell them there are little guarentees they will stay if an offer comes along.

He will be off, just trying to make nice before he leaves. There is no way he will take the pay cut needed for us to keep him. Not to mention the fact that other than Bassong he is one of the only players we have that we could possibly sell for upwards of 4m. Martins is a luxury we wont be able to afford.
