Win 1-3 after an inspired late substiution by keegan sees a 10minute hatrick by debutant jermaine beckford. -
Droopy vs tango for the prem asian trophy on here. whilst i despise the above and normally jenarse, the latter was visibly gutted and tearing during the minutes silence. apart from sbr signing him, they share birthdays dont they?
-
Most people think it's bullshit, the thread is full of people talking about manboobs, handjobs etc. True, looking back its mainly gazzaA2 posting numerous times making me think different!
-
Why does everyone think this is a goer? We have had much more solid looking info materialise into nothing. No one major has even sniffed at this.
-
God, looking at their team reminds me how out of touch I am with European football. Dont bloody know any of em!
-
Or the money we got for him.
-
Great business at the end of the day, like martins or not. shame it couldnt have happened after the club sale though. thats 9.5m that cashley is taking with him. fuck all will go to the club that is for sure.
-
God Bless, Sir Bobby you will be missed. The fact he must have really been holding on for last Sunday makes it so poignant, typical of the man putting on a brave face and fighting til the end. May you rest in peace, where the pain of Cancer wont touch you any more. P.S. That is a cracking picture Oakie. And yes Oakie the mackems are Cunts.

Makes sod all difference either way, until we have a manager/coach appointed that can motivate the players and employ tactics that both make sense, work and bring the best out of the players.
-
I think they know exactly what is happening. Ashley won't appoint them, so they have to wait for the new owners. They probably know that there won't be any new owners, so they're just getting on with their lives. Cant understand why Ashley wouldnt give them rolling contracts ffs! Not wanting to invest any more money into the club is fair enough, but he would get the players, staff and fans off his back in one blow. The club looking more stable would also be alot more attractive to potential buyers, than it is right now.
-
Getting to the point where I feel like I dont really care tbh. I dont feel like I can invest my thoughts into anything until this takeover is either completed or we appoint a manager that is backed. Coming on here is progressively depressing. It doesnt help that the usual excitement and optimism in the team and players has been taken away. I dont feel like there is any point thinking about this player or that, when they are more than likely to be sold by the close of the window. I do think the team we put out against WBA will have alot to prove and want to do so, I dont think we have anyone capable of organising or inspiring them to get a result though.

Got an almost instant response last week. i was shocked. probably a server error.
-
Still think the profitable group is a sham tbh. Just getting some more decent publicity again.
-
Maybe the press are both as frustrated and in the know as we are. writing stories like this might goad them into talking at least to deny it. the way things are going it will be true. never been so angry and upset with things at this club, but nothing we can do.
-
Fuck me. gutted but not suprised. why the hell shearer hasnt been given a rolling contract beggars belief. ashley really must be a spiteful mackem loving cunt.
-
Feck me thats a scary looking side. Griffin and hughes would have been ripped apart, we would have had to pray Parker was fit, because Dyer wouldnt have played all season. Milner and N'Zogbia would have been frustrating and missing with equal measure. You know Bellamy and Owen would both be crocked at the same time, Saha not far behind. Woodgate and Given would have been off in January blaming the clubs ambition and weak squad. Luckily the Centre of defence might actually have been our strongest part. Jenas would start the most games. Bowyer would have been more useless than Nolan. SAF would have struggled to keep that team up IMO. Team would probably would have to had looked more like this regularly. Given Bramble Woodgate Distin Faye Milner Jenas Parker N'Zogbia Which ever crocked striker was fit

Your kidding right? Robert was past finished with us and nothing more than a whiner. His passing, control, crossing and shooting in his last season and a half with us made shola look like Pele. Now whilst I liked Emre, he just didnt justify his wages, making his annual 16 appearances in between injuries. He was a luxury we could never afford, he was never fit enough for us to see the best of him. Whilst Emre managed to amass a whopping 25 appearances this year, he has hardly set the world alight back in his homeland. Robert has managed to be even worse since leaving. What do you think they would have contributed to Newcastle had they stayed? I'm pretty confident little that's positive on the football pitch.
-
Taylor celebrating like its the champions league.
-
God it sounds like its bad reception and it keeps cutting out. I swear they are trying to text whilst checking whats happening on the pitch. Worst commentary ever!
-
Same. They will get real close, then we will sell 3/4 of the club and new players will come in and we are back further than when we started. That said the new player pictures are always the best I'm liking the pulled up white socks approach. Although i'd guess the players are obligated to do that by Adidas. I could see shola in Dwayne Dibley mode though, we usually do on the pitch.

do be do... "I recieved a tip off via fax, see.. " "A fax you say, hmm.. ..it must be true. Lets run with it!" "umm ok."

Can remember really wanting us to go for him Douala after we had played them a few years back. He looked like an upgrade on Luis Boa Morte, had no fear back then. I'd take Pennant under shearer, id expect him to at worst end up in the premiership dregs such as burnley or wolves first. Ball might be decent back up on a one year deal Camara is getting on and looking well off the pace at stoke, if we had to gamble Leroy Lita would be better IMO if he gets his head straight. Glauber could certainly be worth a bet, might not be suited to the english game though. Rocha is in a similar boat, hasnt ever taken to the English game but maybe just never got the chance. Sol Campbell would be great if we got him on decent wages Jaidi then Dubbery would be the uninspiring back up option to bring experience to the back. Misfud would be handy Sibbers might be too far gone, would be fun to have him back, but its time we got serious, he bombed at Norwich last year. Zhi would be a solid and versatile squad player. HTT could finally get his wish to see Collins John at the toon! Think we can put that on the back burner though, 3 goals in 3 years, doh. Kisnorbo was promising, but looks knackered now since several nasty injuries. Probably heading to the A-League with Viduka I think Lauren's legs are gone, not having played wont have helped. Campbell, Jaidi, Volz, Zhi, Misfud and maybe Lita would be my picks, followed by Ball if we really cant find anyone for LB. Volz would definately be a decent bet given his age and experience, would give us the option of playing Habib in the centre if he remains too.
-
Think its a canny move by Ferguson IMO. Suprised by the huge negative reaction, he will score more than not with great service, coming off the bench will be useful. Couldnt care either way tbh, he could be at his peak, scoring left, right, centre and would have never felt like he was ours, the press wouldnt have ever let it happen. Be happy to see him break down dyer stylee too though.

Bassong: 'I want to leave for my career and my future'
toontownman replied to Dave's topic in Football
Meh, frenchman in throw toys and the pram and turn's his back on toon shocker. Where have havent we seen that before? Shame the good reviews and agents seemed to be getting in his head, he couldnt open his mouth without pure gold coming out until a couple of months ago. Dont blame him for wanting off, could handle himself better in the public eye though... no suprise if the club have told him he is going nowhere and he clearly wants off. He and his agent clearly would want to put us in the position where we will have to sell. Thats just modern day french footballers. -
Thread title shat me up good and proper when I first glanced at it. Thought Willie Mckay was involved in the takeover!
