    Emre

Days are numbered here methinks. 3 or 4 to come in rises to 4 or 5..
  2. Enjoyed the latest KK interview, hopefully in for another exciting summer! I agree with Sombrero about the issue of the squad being small. Bringing 3 or 4 decent players and a couple of youngsters will certainly improve the squad, but how many are going to leave over the summer? I think the players Keegan is talking about are certainly the players he wants, I wouldnt be suprised to see an extra 3 or 4 players at least coming through via Wise and Co. to the Academy. The main hope I guess is that some of the players already in the reserves/academy will start to push through to fill up the squad. All depends on who KK wants out and who wants out.
  3. Will still likely see someone like Riise or Shorey come in over the summer. Enrique is certainly one for the future, but I think Keegan will be looking for someone more experienced for the short term.
  4. Harper, but its a romantic notion. Both Keepers have gone downhill, Harper through not playing, Given through various injuries and shit put infront of him. Given still probably has the edge on the playing side though. Will be annoyed if Harper is ejected as soon as Given is fit, he has earnt his run in the team. Just a shame he wasnt involved more regularly or he might have caught the English camps eye.
  5. Looking forward to seeing him play again. Even at the rate his career seems to have gone down the toilet, he should still shine up nicely in the toronto team. Didnt think they played too badly last week, they were nigh on horrific last season though.
  6. Friends reunited for him and carver. who is trying desperately to lure anyone he worked with at newcastle to heighten his name. shame nobby and speed and even kevin gall have already snubbed him. he does have martin brittain still on trial Tho! excited to see robert over here but dont expect alot.
  7. 3 or 4 players to slot straight into the starting line up. im sure we will bulk the squad up more with young/squad players.
  8. Apparently on the verge of signing for Stoke until the end of the season?! http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/article964933.ece
  9. its listed to be on until friday tea time. 5.45pm i think?
  10. Think we will get shat on personally. lets hope the fulham game has boosted everyone because we will need it.
  11. The usual annoying display of possesion in the first half with more spare passes than Smith has had shit games. I thought we always looked to play narrow too much with Martins jumping into the centre and Enrique being suprisingly conservative with his forward play. Second half saw some really nice link ups, and better wide play, It was always going to be nervy as hell until we scored again. We were helped hugely by Fulhams blunt front line, Taylor and Faye couldnt have wished for a better game to play in. Harper - 6 - Had NOTHING to do, did everything well though. Beye - 7 - Some great link up play and control.. whether Geremi or Milner in front he looks a class act, although like Faye needs to recapture the form he was on before he went to the ACN Taylor - 8 - Bossed the game, big strong, wasnt troubled Fulham strikers made him look very good. Faye - 8 - see Taylor Enrique - 7 - Conservative first half, much better second with a couple of fabulous runs, not close to the finished article but he is finding his feet more and more. Geremi - 7.5 - Didnt look wonderfully comfortable, certainly taking players on, but put in a great shift, worked hard, kept running. Should not be allowed to take corners. Barton - 8 - Good shift, over generous rating, but he is getting better hopefully will turn back into the player I saw play against us every time we went to eastlands. Butt - 7.5 - Still as wastefull in possesion but that is his jeckyl to his hyde, bossed the midfield in the second half, when he isnt giving it away or conceeding free kicks he sprays some great balls around. Martins - 6.5 - some dodgy touches but overall a nice performance, if he is sitting wide up front he should stay there, doesnt make the runs needed but has divine inspiration at times. Owen - 8 - growing into this deeper role was a good creative force, should have had a couple of goals but doesnt put his head down when he misses a glaring chance. Viduka -7.5 - Not as careless in possesion as usual, great goal, brings so much that has been missing to our attack, please stay fit.
  12. I cant stand watching Butt and Smith any longer. The best part is Smith, Butt , Carr, Ramage, Barton will be the spine of our team next season in the championship.
  13. Cannot believe people are actually blaming him for that goal. And Gerrard's a fcking diving c***. Enrique has been cut to pieces all game. He should have dealt with that ball for the goal a hell of a lot better than he did, yes it was unlucky but I dont know what the hell he was thinking.
  14. Think we will manage to beat our goals conceeded record the second half. We offer nothing, the only think we could have possibly hoped for was 0-0. Enrique is complete tosh. We will never win a game this season playing Smith and Butt.
  15. Cant see him having the legs to play in the premiership. Be suprised if we sign him.
  16. Keep plugging away, the coaches need to work harder with the defence. Regardless of how well we were doing this season the past 6 games might not have been much different, albeit hopefully more flattering in the goals conceeded department. We are starting to look alot better going forward and passing whilst still woefull at times is improving. Worrying the defence looks to be going backwards as the attack is improving. We need a bit of luck (in our games and others), need to keep our heads high, stick together and fight for everything, there isnt much more we can hope for.
  17. Yeah but you do look longingly at the shot gun under your bed when you wake up and see its raining outside.
  18. Taylor, Butt, Barton, Smith please for the love of god, FUCK OFF! N'Zogbia (or more specifically Keegan for playing him at LB) and Faye sort yourselves out. Owen did aswell as he could, beye likewise. Givens kicking was girl like but I suppose we can forget its like that everyweek now and blame it on his groin. Milner and especially Duff played well and were one of the few positives. Powderpuff defence blew us the game again, albeit it was never a game we thought we could get much out of.
  19. Get rid of: Carr Taylor Butt Smith Barton Ameobi Need two quality CB's 1x LB 1x RB 1x DM 2x AM 1x RW 1x Striker to start with.
  20. Thats a bit of a rash challenge there TT. Chopra wouldnt get near the starting line up if he was still here and rightfully so, that just a bit of geordie tinted specs blocking the path of sense.
  21. first match against them with him in charge since them, should really be looking to improve on that scoreline, doubleing it might be a push but something we can work towards.
  22. Nice bit of extra motivation to stick another 6 or 7 past us on saturday should they lose tonight.
  23. 1- Why the hell are the press still running with this, or even running with it at all 2- Why the hell are we even talking about it. If they had asked him James time machine question the papers would be running back page headlines of "keegan to build time machine and bring back beardsley at his peak"
  24. Better coach than the likes of Carver, Saunders, Terry Mac et al.. but we can find better. Dont hold any grudges with Pearson, he was clearly upset over Sams sacking, Im suprised he lasted as long as he did. He still looked angry and upset after the Stoke replay. Steve Round is still with us though isnt he? Cox, Round and Terry Mac coaching.. I will expect us to add a couple more before too long.
  25. Capello couldnt have done us a bigger favour! owen needs to stop living off an almost 10 year reputation. the snub can only motivate him on for us
