Debut against us Doh.
-
Not really a problem, martins will be back after the boro game. Its Faye and Beye we really need back.
-
Without wanting to start a Jenas flamewar, I thought Jenas was a cracking player for us initially - I'd be delighted if Barnes became a similar box to box midfielder like he intially was. Totally agree

Alvaro - fraudulent bid by third party, Newcastle never interested.

Never the same since his wife gave birth. Someone steal the child. Like Erich says, Roz would be fine if he just toughened up. Looked impressive early in the season. -

Know nothing about him. Strange only Setanta are running this, they(and we) could do with some of their breaking news to turn into something real. -
If only they could SEE, eh? Obviously a keegan and Mort masterplan to wait until the last day of the window before bringing 8 players in. Of course we wrapped alot of them up earlier, for example Woodgates transfer from Spurs was tricky, there was alot of guess work involved. Keegan sorted the Deco deal in the summer.
-
Surely we will up the bid. Would be very happy with getting him in, has looked the best player in a derby shirt everytime i have watched them. Aye that doesnt say too much, but I think there is alot too him. looks like thats 3 young attacking midfielders we are in for now. Tie them up and get Van Buyten in. Its so simple.
-
Adams and Pearce the front runners for No.2 now according to several rags. I would be happy getting either, especially as I can see them being interested. Cant see Adams really wanting to leave pompey for the same position though. Like wise Pearce, in a similar situation to Chris Coleman wont easily be persuaded to become a Number two to anyone. Will probably end up being someone highly dissapointing like Carver.

Yeah, bloody Mort's status is always 'out to lunch' when you ask him anything uncomfortable on messenger!

Must be in the minority here having read most of the bile written, but im actually excited by this. sure people are reacting like its ernie wise being appointed. but id say at least 95 percent of people have a clue about dennis wise or how he works as a person or coach, not many less are even interested in giving him a chance. he has obviously met everyone and we were impressed enough to think he will revel in his role, which for the record no one knows. its all part of a structure we never had

Coming as assistant/dof/coach or sparring partner for joey.
-
Suprised people are so against wise coming. seems like a good young coach. obviously The likes sir les, rob lee or speed would be welcomed with open arms into any role. not to mention do a much better job because they pulled on a black and white shirt.

Been my thinking all the way through, if this leads to us pipping for Van Buyten instead then I will be ecstatic. A fit Woodgate can be immense, but for the price and the state he is in, I think its silly money.

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_3083188,00.html Uggh!... but of course he is right. Always hurts hearing it though, just looking forward to the window closing so we can get on with the rest of the season, and try and salvage some pride of what is left. -
Weds if Mali win the next game.

Not fit enough to lace Carrolls boots tbh. We can do better. -

Well we have to pin alot of hope on keegan giving our players a new lease of life. that and a sprinkling of luck on the injury front. when he is back starting next weekend, emre will be crucial, and i dont think keegans appointment will influence anyone more. -

Its a definate possibility that we could or could not get them, that much is assured at least. -

Dont think anything is happening on the van buyten front. would still love him here though. keegan rates him. i think he would be here already if he was interested. -
exactly. if he failed his medical here why would he be going to spurs? i know some club doctors will differ on opinions but if he failed the medical here he shouldnt pass one there.
-
so he failed a medical here but has passed one at spuds. how does that work?
