Slight issue with Schweinsteiger rather sticking forks in his eyes than move to Newcastle.. Other than that I'm sure things would have worked out nicely. -
Never mind that, imagine what he'd be ike in the premiership! Premiership is the word, dont you know?

A Royal pain in the arse more like.. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/article-1193759/Charles-Sale-Barton-right-Royal-day-Ascot.html?ITO=1490 Just the image of Barton there is amusing.

Why would you want the profitable group, out of interest? Im not convinced they really have the kind of money to take us back to the premier league and stay there.
-
Expect them all to be at it, tmrw, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.. ..Then in the Chronicle next monday... ...."after recent reports, the club would like to go on paper and confirm NO offers have officially been made to buy the club at this point, however we are hopeful to have news by the end of the week"..

I think someone is in some serious denial here. Its ok that your looking at those pictures and liking them, we wont judge you. "Oh no, I hate those pictures, but I cant stop re-quoting and looking at them."

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/w/wigan_athletic/8105620.stm "I will never move for Swansea players unless they are in the market or other clubs show an interest," Martinez said. Thats like telling your freshly dumped ex-girlfriend that you would'nt ever sleep with her hot sister, unless she wanted to and other people were hitting on her. So provided all of Swansea's players are s*** and no one wants them, they will be fine!

Not bothered at all. Never looked tough enough for the premiership, let alone the premiership. He is out of contract anyway.

Good luck to the lad, fully expect him to be elsewhere this time next month. Spurs might well be his destination as painfull as it is. -
Erm, they're trying to sell the club, did you not notice or something? Why would they give a s*** about the season ticket renewals when that's going to be someone else's problem? Surely all you paranoid-delusionals should be expecting them to deliberately put people off from renewing just to f*** over us and whoever the new owners are, that'd be the really evil thing to do, wouldn't it? You know they will take the club off the market next month and stay anyway.

He's a boring manager but his teams don't play boring football. If you're looking for a manager who can maximise the benefits of a good youth system, he's your man. Indeed, his teams have always been good passing and attacking teams.

"ooh, I fell overrrr.... and stubbed a cigar out in your eye... what, the floor is slippy, someone must have spilt their pint!"

This. I'd think Curbs would do a great job for us, certainly a safer bet than Shearer experience wise, however he would still have Shearer waiting in the wings, a few bad results in a row and the mongs would be on his back. That said its more than likely a load of tripe.

Umm..... Would we have a bloody choice? If he does regain control we are going to have to go with him, if not only for this season. We are already so far behind the rest of league, Bin Laden could take over if it means a bit of stability and rebuilding. Whatever happens it needs to happen Yesterday.

Regular European Football? One of the best grounds in Europe? Full houses? Breaking the world transfer record? Have you seen the list of clubs that have broken the WTR - Shepherd had real ambition, and delivered the goods for most of his tenure. He was a bit of dick and f***ed up badly when he replaced SBR with Souness, but he should be judged on his achievements not just the failings of the post SBR era. Well I could buy the chip shop down the road and pump a whole load of money into it and make it a sweet looking gastro pub. But 6 months later, I'd be re-mortgaging the house, the wife would have left, I'd have to declare bankrupcy, live on the street and hope skirges dog would give me some change. The European runs, the ground and the full houses are all from Sir John Hall. Its not like he built the place from the ground up, he just had to move his stuff into the penthouse and buy some furniture. Is this the same SJH who was the major shareholder until Ashley reared his ugly head? You think he just let Shepherd run the show do you? Theres a whole thread on this subject, the important issues are how much influence Shepherd would have, if hes learnt from his mistakes and what benefits his experience might bring to the table. I dont really understand your argument to be honest? I never said Sir John Hall was blameless, nor do I think that. So your agreeing with me? After praising Shepherd and his achievments and sticking up for him, your now saying he didnt actually do any of those things it was Sir John Hall? ................................................................................ Whilst I cant believe anyone could do a worse job than Ashley, the fat bastard makes the other bald fat bastard look like Steve Gibson. Many people thought similar that we couldnt get worse than Shepherd before, regardless right now Shepherd sits as very much a case of Better The Devil you know. It very much depends on who he has backing him, he will get us closer to the right track if the money is in place. However..he left for a reason last year, if he is here for anything more than a short term to get us back on track, it wouldnt be a suprise to see things end in tears again. Its like dating two abusive girls in a row and then when the second girl dumps you, you refuse to see anyone new in fear that no-one else will be different and beg the first girl to take you back, because things were good for a while, before she started beating you. I can't understand people being upset at views demanding better than Shepherd, although as days pass we are hardly in a position to be picky. All anyone wants right now is some stability, even if its in the short term so we have a manager and squad for next season to try and take us back up. Again as the days pass I dont think alot of people care who takes over as long as things are sorted soon, certainly Ashley just wants who ever has the cash, in both cases, maybe Shepherd is the best of bad bunch..

"agree with the rest of" that original post.. for the record
-
Shepherd would have sacked him the exact same time Ashley did. Allardyce was a disaster for us, even the players thought he was a joke. We had the chance of getting MON and he blew that one. He is the encyclopedia of mistakes. His position at the time the club was sold was unbearable. He would have been forced out sooner or later anyway by either the fans or his incompetence, the hatred was not too disimilar to Ashley now. I agreed with the rest of your original post though.
-
It all depends on who is backing the Fat man. I dont want him anywhere near the club, but if his consortium has the kind of money we need to get back to the big time, you know he's the right man to piss it away. Its so laughable, his return is bound to happen. This club cannot help itself.
-
Enrique.. But to be honest I wouldnt be "Gutted" its more than likely to happen, infact if its just the players on that list sold it would be a suprise. The likes of Beye/Bassong and Guthrie would be more upsetting. Fact is most will leave, the club will go on and we will move on, we dont owe any of those players anything, its very much the other way around.
-
exactly.. its possible it might speed up the process and push the people actually interested into bidding.
-
Your assuming the useless fuckers at the club know how to work computers. We will probably hear confirmation of the bid 3 months after it has fallen through, as per usual. Finger/pulse ratio Pulse Ashleys big ass ^ ^ Nufc higher ups fingers Cabury's finger anyone?
-
Yes please. Whilst he might be a good pro to have around the club, he is a bloody liability to have on the pitch.
