  2. Give it up lads. The past couple of links are just rehashed from days ago.
  3. I dont think he has ever let anyone down, but he doesnt work well enough on the right wing. i desperatley want to see him given a chance in the middle or behind the front two, he played his best for the u21s there. id prefer to see duff out on the right.
  4. Pretty much agree with the majority. cb, lb, 2x cm, rw, cf. big summer needed
  5. Have you never been on this board before? Its all about the constructive criticism here you know.
  6. Whats he like: when everything is going to shit around him? carrying the back four? how does he react when his keeper panics with every backpass and blasts it at him at high pace? To be fair he cant be too much worse, than what we have, give him a chance.
  7. Wish we would try him through the centre, he cant be any worse and he actually played his best football for the U21's there. On current form he is woefully short of whats needed for RW and whilst better on the left no better than Duff or Zog.
  8. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/premier_league/article3273318.ece Newcastle waste little time with Giles Barnes bidGeorge Caulkin Led by Dennis Wise, Newcastle United’s new-look player recruitment department has made an impact at St James’ Park, with Derby County yesterday rejecting a £1.5 million offer for Giles Barnes, their young midfield player. Tony Jimenez, the Newcastle vice-president (player recruitment), has been leading negotiations with Derby, although a deal is understood to be unlikely. Paul Jewell, the Derby manager, values Barnes at £3 million – “I don’t see why we should let him go cheap,” he said – but while Newcastle admire the 19-year-old, they are reluctant to pay so much for a player who has made only 58 starts in league football. Strengthening the midfield is not a priority, but it demonstrates Newcastle’s determination to ensure that their new system hits the ground running. ................................................................................................... Well what the hell is the priority??
  9. So before we were shit against the lower teams, but could play half decent against the bigger teams, now we cant do either. Lots of work to do boys.
  10. Comedy third for the mackems. Ruled out, rightly for handball.
  11. We just dont have the quality in midfield either to protect the defence or open up the oppositions. We expected no less today though, and again we havent embarrased ourselves, despite the score.
  12. Ameobi coming on "any minute now, but maybe not anytime soon."
  13. You mean they have to start actually offering money?
  14. Panic Stations! Given just shits a brick when he gets the ball, that said you could say that about most of our players.
  15. FA Cup was all or nothing, Id expect Keegan wants another 12 points before he starts going a bit more for broke in the league.
  16. Best news I've heard all week. Mort must have got a swift flight back from the Czech Republic, fine effort.
  17. . Why would Birmingham think they could get Lippi, why do Sunderland fans think they can stay up? Why did I sleep with my boss and ask for a raise? You dont ask you dont get, everythings worth a punt and everyone needs hope, even if it means waking up with a sore arse and a head full of shattered memories
