  1. Plus im sure there are plenty of other people ready to rip you a new arsehole as soon as they wake up!
  2. If he would sit in norwich and blackburn the past four years, i dont think he would have a problem coming here. depends who else bids.
  3. im a tad tipsy but still within myself to refrain to reply further.
  4. Like Ghana, rooting for them, but mainly because I want Martins Back for Villa.
  5. Wow, in agreement with Kingdawson?? Mainly have alot of time for Hodgson, but very happy they won today, want to see them stay up.
  6. Was an absolute beast a couple of years ago at the last ACN, havent seen much of him since, suprised he hasnt ended up at pompey or somewhere in the premiership already.
  7. People taking too much from the fact he is mates with Wise, can see this being a great move if true, similar appointments in other parts of Europe and the world would be good too. Zola has a great reputation and endless links throughout world football, along with being part of the national team set up he would be an immense appointment imo.
  8. Was talking about the two named in the thread title you pedantic bastard
  9. Have either of them actually played more than a handfull of games for West Ham? They probably would have played even less for us had they stayed.
  10. Given - 6.5 - Some vital stops. Communication still lacking with the back four and some dodgy kicking. Carr - 6 Supported well, outmuscled for the goal but that wasnt a suprise. Cacapa - 5 Was at sixes and sevens alot, although put in some great interceptions. Communication, positioning and decison making was dodgy for the most part. Taylor - 5 Average game, didnt do a whole lot wrong, lacks communication with the rest of the back four N'Zogbia - 7 (attacking) 3 (defending) - Had a great game attacking, where he should be but he leaves to many gaps. we need a LB Butt - 2 Short of scoring another couple of own goals and getting himself sent off he couldnt have played much worse. Dallies on the ball, possibly our worst passer, cant retain the ball, for a Defensive midfielder its unnaceptable. Emre - 6 - Missing that fitness so not quite on the ball, sat way too deep, but needed to the way butt was playing. Hope the hamstring injury doesnt put him out another 3 months. Duff - 8 - Our best player this year, we need enrique back so we can play him on the right with N'zog on the left. Barton - 7 - Generous marks but he battled well, used the ball neatly, like emre is off the pace fitness wise and sat too deep in the first half. He did however play with his brain today, if not subdued. Looks much better in the centre naturally. Smith - 3 - Why? what are you here for? why do you exist? Owen - 7 - Like the majority lacking major confidence, should have had a hatrick today. Was a different player after the goal. Viduka - 5 - If its not confidence its fucking fitness that lacking, (or talent in a few players cases) Didnt do to bad but he would have buried a couple of chances had he been fit, oh how we need him fit. Milner - 5 - Didnt do much right or wrong. Officials - 3 - need not comment. quote of the day: "Its not just love that changes everything, its goals too."
  11. Poor ref, poor linesmen, poor performance. Butt and Smith were pitiful. We have a big job to get that confidence back, its plain to see that with a little bit of it we can look fine, without it we are going to get in a relegation fight. Thank Fuck beye and Faye are back is all I can say.
  12. This game is what the spanish would call Il' Terrible. Duff seems the only guy interested. Right decision to drop Milner, wrong decision not to have a RW. Referee is a tit, Smith and Butt are shit. Other than that the usual from our lot. Static and mainly no clue with what to do with the ball.
  13. Starting line up Id like to see for sure. Think he will go with Butt and Emre in the middle though, and maybe viduka on the bench.
  14. carver thankfully wont be part of the set up. he has just joined mo johnstone at toronto under him as head coach.
  15. Sod that, ive heard there is a nifty Nigerian Left Back available on a free thats looking for a club that would be much more solid
  16. taylor is stronger and makes better defensive pozitional decisions than rozenhal Wheater didnt have 50,000 people hyping him up as the next john terry, then ripping him apart when a couple of years later he isnt fifa player of the year. Taylor would be twice the player he is now if he had moved on to the clubs sniffing round him. Granted shit players around him and poor coaching hasnt helped his progress, but thats not to say he still cant be a great defender. Some realism and patience inserted into the geordie dictionary could do wonders for any player pulling on a black and white shirt.
  17. Nevland was a 97/98 legend, on a free at the start of the season. Was either s*** hot or s*** though depending which club/league you bought him for. Also tells you you've been playing the game 10 years too long True! I have actually finally got bored of it a whole 10 years later though, havent played the new one. Emre

His first handfull of games he was quite the opposite, we soon put an end to that.
  19. 1-2 We will smash in an early goal, batter the living hell out of them all the first half. Come out sluggish in the second, Alves to come on as sub and grab a sloppy goal in our complacency then complete his brace at the death. WOO for optimism! Actually think we will batter them, will come down to luck with decisions and whether we take our chances or not. Looking forward to it, but then I look forward to every match!

    Emre

If anyone is to benefit from Keegans return it is Emre. Since his arrival we are still waiting to see the best out of him, despite early glimpses of what he is capable of. Be it fitness, being played out of position, or motivational issues Emre hasnt flourished here. Under Souness he looked his best early on, although Souness wanted to convert him to a DM, combined with a bad year with injuries it didnt happen for him. Under Roeder he was deployed mainly on the left wing, amoungst another poor injury run and when he got back on course got hit with the racism charges. Under Allardyce, he was never rated to an extent frozen out, unmotivated and largely unfit. Whilst Souness was close to be unto something, DM or a deep seated playmaker isnt his best role, although he does have the vision and ability to play passes from deep. For the first time he can and I believe will be used as an attacking midfielder. His best games for us have come when he sat either behind the front two or in a free attacking role. In early games he actually looked dangerous running at people and dribbling through the centre. Attacking freedom, coupled with Keegans motivation and some luck with his fitness I think Emre can really push on and become the player we heard he was.
  21. Saha? someone needs to keep viduka company in the treatment room now woody went to spurs and carr has decided to bother.
