Thing is, how far back do you look into a persons injury record? Overall or in the last couple of seasons? Were they lucky to begin with? Are they unlucky now? He is out for at least 3 months,isn't he? (Broken pelvis -I think) Pelvis is a bitch, did mine in a car accident. 3 months is very optimistic if it is that injury.

Taylor would be a great choice but dont think portsmouth would sell and doubt if he would leave anyways! Increasingly long ago now, but Taylor was close friends with Ambrose, didnt want to come here when we were interested before. Good player but is Leighton Baines in 5 years time without any development. Rather have the Bainester, and he would rather be here than Taylor, who is pretty happy down on the South Coast.

Gillespie was a calculated risk to get Andy Cole which payed off IMO, Gillespie never filled his full potential, I dont think Manure missed him although maybe he would have gone on to better things with them had he stayed. Kanchelskis, Berg and Hughes were all past there best IMO, not that they didnt have years of solid performances, Berg especially, but none of those players went on to better things or became better players. Stam and the Horse were silly moves. But they have moved on without them, and maybe Ferguson backing down and keeping them would have been a bigger weakness to the team than missing them on the pitch.

im not a huge fan of what I have seen, would be a decent squad player but not a man to mould our defence around. Doubt Wigan would let him go on the cheap, especially to us. If we are breaking the bank on premiership players I still want us to bid for Lescott, however futile the idea is.

Could do with holding his tongue a bit, although he actually has a brain thats making him talk sense which is refreshing for a footballer, let alone a scouser.
