He is gutted we missed out on Chris Baird and Etuhu. Understandable really.. If there is anyone that we could bid the 11m of Barzagli money on it would be testing the water with Everton for Lescott for me. Although I wouldnt want us spending that amount on him, testing the water with 8m would do fine in todays silly market.

Will have to wait, he and Luque arent playing apparently as they missed the Austria trip and are behind on fitness.

What is this madness you speak sir? Just some decent competition and coaching will see better players of the both of them imo. Dont think we need to be too bothered at the moment with the board situation, its going to be frantic, always is when new business's take over old ones. Talking to Sam a bit more is a kinda biggy on the list but things will soon settle. They've had their chance, their time is up. The fans do not like these two, and both need removing with immediate effect. I hope the only reason they are still here is that SA hasn't go round to signing their replacements...yet. Absolutely. Any club and player needs competition for places. Other than the fact they are decidely suspect anyways, Baba and Carr would have played alot better had they had another player pushing them for the starting line up. Spurs obviously need a LW, but both Lennon and SWP's could play and swap during the game ala Duff/Robben a few years back, and as MJ says, it would be a good kick up the arse for Lennon.

Dodgy ground, I dont like the rule, whilst its good when your doing it, its bloody frustrating on the flip side and just adds more uncertainty to an already increasingly confusing set of rules for referee's to try and keep. Same as keeping the ball by the corner flag and wasting time, amoung other little ploys that our now common tactics of the game.
