  1. Hard to know what has gone on and until keegan brings out another book we might not even know. From the outside it seems harsh to get rid of both Wise and Jimenez. There is however nothing to say Vetere wasnt responsible for all the transfers with Wise and Jimenez doing nothing noteworthy. For me I cant see why they cant re-work their roles. I think Wise's role certainly has to be changed. Keegan - 1st team Needs complete control and trust in who he wants coming in. That doesnt mean Vetere/Jimenez cant find players and suggest them to him. Wise- Youth/reserves Should relinquish any roles that cross over with Keegan, should work under keegan if required. In charge of getting players on the young promising side, provided Keegan approves. Vetere/Jimenez Head Scouts that work under Wise/Keegan as necessary. Will be interesting to see what happens, i am convinced whatever the outcome it will be for the best of the club. Regardless of what they might or might not have done the three amigos have brought in what looks like a great set of players so far. Whilst it looks like Keegan is for most part in the right in this I cant help but think if he wasnt a growing Shearer like untouchable status surrounds him, rightly so but no man is bigger than the club and if he decided to walk, we will move on.
  2. Maybe take Appiah on a pay as you play contract. Not sure he would fancy it though tbh. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11662_4091370,00.html Dont think any of them would be any use. Fortune would provide cover but he is shit.
  3. Rather see investment alongside ashley ala QPR.
  4. appiahs body is supposed to be fucked. That said so is woodgates, but he doesnt seem to be having too many problems. Was one of my favourite players a couple of seasons ago. Would like us to take a look.
  5. Personally, I see it as 2 separate issues. ( 1 ) Whether the trio warrant sales? ( 2 ) Whether the manager's authority should be respected? Henceforth, even though the trio warrant sales, the manager's authority / opinions must still be respected. You are right, but what if premise 1 and 2 clashes i.e. what if the manager wants to keep all three but the Board wants rid. Do you then support premise 1 or stick with premise 2 because you can't have both if KK really wants to keep all three. Different people will give you different answers, I'm more leaning twoards selling all three (Milner for 12 million) provided there are replacements ready even if it means KK's authority will be undermine in this particular instance. If KK thinks we should keep the three despite promised of replacements, then I simply think he has got it wrong and seriously question his judgement. If the reason that he wants to keep them is because he has not been promised any replacement, then he is right and I support him. It cant ever be anything but 2) If it is then you have no respect but more importantly no faith in the man you are supposed to be backing. You obviously come try and head for a compromise with selling at least one of the 3. But really the board should be trusting the man they appointed. Sounds a bit like pondering over whether you should cheat on your missus or not. You might end up not doing it out of morals, but to be honest if you wanted to do it isnt there something wrong with your relationship to begin with? I think most people would go with premise 1. But thats just because its a no brainer. Smith is shit, Barton (whilst i'd like to keep him) is a liability easier cut loose and Milner for 12m is too good to turn down.

    E-mail...

Great email, shame its to be ignored. More emails that talk sense like this one should be sent in rather than with expletives thrown around every corner. To be fair you can just cut Sky Sports and insert any rag and send it off to the lot of them.
  7. Are they quoting him? If not, that means absolutely f*** all. Thank flying fuck if true. to be fair he would be on a hiding to nothing replacing keegan anyway.
  8. Pretty sure he walked, whether he turns back or keeps walking is now the question.
  9. Apologies if its already been posted, couldnt see amoungst the shitting of pants, euphoric fear and madness that has rightly enveloped the board today. http://sport.setanta.com/en/Sport/News/Football/2008/09/02/Prem-Bassong-exclusive-over-KK-and-debut/ Comments more fitting a senior player than a youngster. Glad he is loving life though.
  10. COME ON! GET IN! just means he will walk in a couple of months though!
  11. Those guys are going to look so silly when Ashley and Keegan walk out holding hands with a very scared Saviola following them.
  12. Not really seeing as the people that scouted and signed the players are all still at the club.
  13. Just Poyet from what the press is saying. Wise remains DOF. Poyet manager.
  14. How much shit do we have to go through really. This club is a complete fucking joke.
  15. Would be a fine way to deflect everyones thoughts of not getting a milner replacement or a left back, if fabricated! I'd just fallen back in love with the club and the fact we were going to have a good future under Keegan. I think like most supporters, I will be on breaking point.
  16. Think thats us done now. I dont think there is another person out there we will get in that will do a better job. Now we get Wise or Shearer. Anyone thats any good leaves in January or next summer. I cannot see the point in this, but knowing keegans volatile personatlity I guess it was only a matter of time before he walked.
  17. Could we not potentially do a guiterrez if we found a player interested?
  18. Could we not potentially do a guiterrez if we found a player interested?
  19. Cant believe we have to wait 2 bloody weeks til we can get a look at him and nacho libre. Hope they settle as well as the other signings.
  20. Not the best stocked squad, but Im happy with the way the club is moving and the squad has improved without any doubt. Big chance for some of our youngsters to make a claim.
  21. http://www.nst.com.my/Current_News/NST/Tuesday/Sport/2338680/Article/index_html Cute little article.
  22. Things just didnt work out for us. I think three more were on the cards. Atouba seems to have fucked us over, and we were fruitless with our efforts for other left backs. Zayatte would have been a squad signing, but perferred a starting role and probably a bigger pay check at Hull. Malouda might well have joined had chelsea not been beaten to the punch for Robinho. With a bit of luck, what we have got in will carry us over to January. Colo and Bassong can both cover the full back positions, we have the players for 4-3-3. Things could be alot worse. I'd rather we didnt just sign people to make up numbers. If we cant find the right players that want to play for the club then I'm happy to wait until January.
