Thought Barnes was stopping at Derby? He said he wants to stay regardless of getting into the premiership or not.
-
Has he not scored yet, tsh, sell him, tsh. Seriously though, another typical game from a Sven/mcClaren team? or do people actually look interested?
-
Same would have thought that of Jenarse and Viana... well guess they were right though!
-
good for them. will have a decent set of fullbacks if the mercenary on the otherside doesnt jump ship.
-
Matt Taylor is good chums with Ambrose, he would never come here because of the way some sections of the crowd abused him. Decent player, not as versatile as Barry who id prefer out of the two, but neither will come. Jagielka would be good at the right price, dont think he plays down the left at all though and Everton are close to signing him.

Saskatoon?

I think your assuming too much about the intelligence of footballers! They should be getting advised that though. Id assume the majority of money would be put the current robson route through paying extortionate fees for up and coming talent. The problem is even if they are managing to maintain the players progress and they blossom, sales like this will only increase the trend, like mentioned bale will only be around a couple of seasons, like Carrick. They will go around in circles, but at least they will be richer for it.

6 assists is really poor. compare him to rooney who has been the only striker for man utd for the majority of the season. people think martins is so good but all he does is score a goal every few games. compare him to rooney and rooney scores more goals than him and contributes alot more to the team Sorry, i forgot he should be as good as Rooney. f****** sick of these utterly s*** Martins arguments. ok i wont use rooney to support my arguement but is mcarthy, berbatov, bent, crouch, anelka, johnson, kuyt and keane ok players to use to support my arguement? Your missing the point, bar maybe keane, they are all target men, out and out strikers with completely different games to Martins, all of which have played numerous previous seasons in the first team. 17 goals in his first season here playing double the amount of first team games he has ever played really isnt as shit as some people seem to wish it would be.
-
If Ronaldinho was here we would be ripping into him somehow, I guess we just have to accept the bitch fest.
-
martins= 43 starts 17 goals baptista= 17 starts 10 goals thats not too bad for someone thats absolutely dreadful TBH martin s*** team no support loan striker or duff with him = 17 goals baptista-highly experienced international playing with some of the best internationals this league has = 10 goals. ill keep martins thanks martins doesnt do anything though apart from score a goal once in a while. Cant have many assists this season and hasnt played well this season Not a whole lot of assists for either. 5 - 17(gls) in 44 (appearances) to baptistas 3 - 10 - 33 whilst i havent seen as much of Baptista as Martins (obviously) im pretty confident whom I prefer.
-
Thought Gudjohnsen turned us down aswell as bent tbh?
-
Why? I'd have probably said the same this time last year, but Baptista has proven to absolutely dreadful in the Premiership. martins is hopeless and so overated by newcastle supporters. baptista has more to his game than martins IMO TBH WUM or Weapon, BET NOW!

I wouldnt say Houllier is bad with the youth systems, he set up and was in charge of the french FA youth system wasnt he? He isnt a particularly inspiring manager though, can see where your coming from.
-
maybe I havent seen enough of him, but nearest thing to Pedro is a pretty major statement for me. Whilst Gudjohnsen is wonderfully creative, i didnt think he had the dribble skills or all round flair that Beardsley had and is much stronger, physical player. Will be the missing link since Beardsley retired though, and the creative player we have missed since then.
-
Ranieri is more likeable, but Houllier is a better manager imo. Bar the tinkerman who are you hoping for Spec?
-
Really would have come here, if we had wanted him then! Whoever is in charge of citeh should be falling over themselves. Would be better for the club than Sven.
-
So basically he is saying to spurs give me more money or I F**k off.
-
Weather is good today.
-
Would be excellent for us as a midfield link up or a target man/partner for Owen/Martins. Id be ecstatic if we could get him.
-
Good shout. When I have seen he has played CB or DM/CM not sure what he would be like at RB but he looks like has bit about him. We have signed the likes O'B & Bramble from clubs who have went down before & it hasn't worked out long term. Would be a great squad player, although would cost up to £5m apparently. knock two off and he would be a solid buy. If the rumours of Campbell wanting out are true and wanting to come to us, Redknapp wont be able to stop him.
-
Campbell, Hyypia and Ben Haim would be just right for now IMO. Will give Edgar and Hunty a couple of years to cut their teeth and will bring taylor on.

Its completely turned things on its head, and potentially heaped alot of pressure on Big Sam. That said, its the pressure and challenge that drives him, whilst having the money is a double edged sword if success doesnt follow, I still think Sam is the Man, for now. What chelsea have missed is someone to motivate the stars all the time, at bolton sam got the faded stars and rejuvinated them. The whole Bolton set up was hailed, but on a shoe string budget, what will it be like on unlimited funds? Whilst he isnt used to big money buys, who says he has to, even with the money. The main aim is getting the right type of players here, so in effect nothing will change. The money (if we get given alot) will just give us better options to buy, more time to assess players without worries of not having the funds to buy the player. There is still alot of restructuring and work to be done at this club, and Big Sam can do it for me.
