  1. I would be delighted to get viduka and ben haim in. Just add campbell, tuncay, heinze and sidwell and we can just spend money on a few decent full backs. Seriously though, do it.
  2. Cant believe im saying this, but id rather have diouf. Even with Cisse on form he doesnt give us anything we dont already have, diouf would be an excellent squad player, he has hunger, gives something different and we have been missing an arshole on the pitch since bellers left. I dont think diouf would mirror the same attitude off the pitch though. Still Viduka and Gudjohnsen would do me to plug the gaps either upfront and in the midfield.
  3. Never seen him, never heard of him. could compete with fatters patters though.
  4. Im sure he would stay if he was going to get a chance, he has intimated he would love to stay here many times, but not at the expense of being out of the team all the time. Will be interesting. I think like stozo says its already tied up, but would be nice to think he could come good here, but highly unprobable. I think alot of players reaching the back end of their careers would want to work with BS though. I also doubt the current backroom staff would be giving SA a glowing report on him, but we shall see.
  5. none of the above, its a new start and the dead wood has to go.
  6. Baines for £4million, you have to be joking, you are going to be looking closer to £8million. Also the fact that you even want Hunt makes your post even more laughable. Unless he is talking Hunt from Reading, then I like his style. I dont think he will cost too much more than £5m. He has been on the whole overlooked this season. The biggest factor is that with the knowledge of the money that clubs will have, the selling clubs will inevitably pump up the prices, especially in Europe. So could turn out to be an expensive summer, will be interesting to see how wisely clubs use the money.
  7. Huntelaar would be a great signing, radically different to what we have, still reasonably raw, but 90% certain to go to a better shaped club than here. You never know. Gudjohnsen would be the best bet, would be the missing link in the midfield or an effective partner for Martins or Owen. Would be my number one pick for the summer if we can get him.
  8. More worrying Carr isnt mentioned in the whole first article with the stayings/comings/goings. A pay rise and elevation to the coaching team perhaps?
  9. Sounds like he is in, IF something goes wrong with the Hull Job negotiations.. IE.."Mr Chairman I want more money, give it mr or I will go to newcastle"..

Strange feeling, cant believe Titus is gone, he has been quite a staple at this club, good or bad for so long. Ive stuck up for him, Ive ripped into him, but now I will wish him all the best for his future. I believe he quite easily could have been given a new short term contract and become a squad player, but thats not what it is about. Its a new regime, a new start and unfortunately for Bramble, the scapegoat and focus of all our undoings over the past years since he arrived, has been him. Its a bench mark, its the first step in irradicating the problems. Worse players will stay, but removing Bramble is like taking off the dodgy defence name tag. Enjoy the South coast weather and wave to Sol Campbell on the train going the opposite way.
  11. If Big Sam had any sense he would put "scrapper" clarke and "piss-on-your-chips" Pearson to work keane, whilst he watches with Terry Mac cracking jokes.
  12. Erm, but we all know whats going on anyway. We don't need the guy to be criticised like that by the chairman. I'm sure Zogs in the wrong here very much, and I'm happy for the club to discipline him internally but how on earth is talking about Charles like that going to help anything? I take it you forget 05-06. Our best player, there or thereabouts. Had an abysmal one last season, no doubt about it, but a year ago he was pretty much our best prospect and I'm sure he can't have gotten worse/much worse in just 12 months. Just a theory, but there have been rumblings about N'Zogbia's attitude for quite some time now, so it stands to reason that Sunday was the straw that broke the camel's back and the point of no return has been passed - and therefore "helping" N'Zogbia is no longer on the agenda. Well may we say that he was a shining light in 05-06, and well may we curse Roeder for dropping him in favour of Duff - but this is where we're at now, with a new man in charge. If Big Sam is going to be the broom to clean the club up, then sweeping away a talented but troubled player might just be the price we have to pay for progress. And while it could be said that this could have been said behind closed doors, let's assume that Freddy chose to make this public, to tell the squad, the fans and even prospective new players that a new regime has arrived, that the time for being taken for a ride is over... Amen.
  13. yeah nice piece in the guardian. Very happy to also see the board ARE going to let him bring in ALL the staff he needs. Dont think the Gary Speed name dropping today will be coincidental either, well I hope not, the sooner we get him back the better, will certainly be a snidy sweetner for all the fans unsure of big sam aswell!
  14. Why Chelsea loaning him to us until after christmas?
  15. Fatso is perfectly right and certainly well within his rights to say that. Its not like a one off he has been a sulky arrogant sod for over a year now. He needs a kick up the arse (or hand round the shoulder). He should know he has done wrong and accept any deserving criticism, but from now on he has a second chance.
  16. Just moved to the middle of nowhere in canada, so im in the North American bracket now.
  17. Doubt Luque even comes into anyones thinking anymore.
  18. Shearer is going to have a fit on MOTD.
  19. Relegate West Ham and Promote whomever comes second in the play offs! not going to happen but would be novel.
  20. I agree. He never would have done what he did knowingly. I think he has finally got Manure out of his system now and will be an important member of our squad next season. Im convinced Moore is one.. but there are so many other players to choose from who knows whe else Butt, Given, Harps and Taylor are talking about.
  21. The only kind of decision that Freddie can be guaranteed to get right. Much like a debate of where to eat lunch, greggs or subway.
  22. Fair play, but he is only doing the job he is supposed to be doing. Those faces are coming to a soccer AM and youtube near you this week. Hilarious.
  23. Like it, going to be an interesting summer. Id expect quite a few players we have never heard of!
  24. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport Cry rape and they all come out of the woodwork. Taylor and Harper follow Nicky Butt and have a go at our so called want away players. Wish I knew who they were!
  25. will fit in well at spurs, up jenas's bottom again.
