He looked the player we came to love last season. Retained possession, got stuck in, won a few free kicks etc. He just scored the all important first goal and celebrated like a man who was so desperate to show he still had something in the tank.
Bobby's front 6 was supposed to be shored up with Woodgate joining but his injury record + Madrid transfer meant it never would have worked out for us.
Had we put investment like we have today in our back 4 into Bobby's team we could have won the league.
9/10 - Top business done. Will get a 10/10 as long we finish the season comfortably in mid table and improvements from team and play that give some good signs to next season's campaign.
Worth noting it looks like Man Utd will probably be the first side to match or beat our tally in 2002 of 33 points gained from losing positions.
