His control and passing today were the best I've seen from him tbh. Was practically too composed or calm for the shot he had that Cech saved. He led the line so well and that through ball to Gouffran was a peach - had time to cooly juggle the fucking ball before he passed it off.
He looked the player we came to love last season. Retained possession, got stuck in, won a few free kicks etc. He just scored the all important first goal and celebrated like a man who was so desperate to show he still had something in the tank.
Bobby's front 6 was supposed to be shored up with Woodgate joining but his injury record + Madrid transfer meant it never would have worked out for us.
Had we put investment like we have today in our back 4 into Bobby's team we could have won the league.
