Officially turned. I want him gone. Respect the man for what he did last season but he's failed his players and us. Even if the Board hung him out to try from a transfer perspective, and he's had some terrible luck with form, injuries etc. but he's the manager, and the table does not lie. He's failed to get the best out these players and he's failing us.

Oh this one brings back some memories man. I remember the day we signed him going mental. He was probably one of my favorite players outside of Shearer at the time. I remember Sir Bobby saying how massive of a signing he was for our club, and that at the age we signed him at - and the potential he still had - could prove to be one of the most important signings we've ever had. I was just in awe at the time, thinking - go on, our Big Al will retire and Bellers & PK would take on the mantle and propel us forward. I mean the rest after that was history.... But his injuries and fitness always seemed to rub many the wrong way, I still can't believe at times we had this guy playing up front with Alan Shearer and Bellamy and we had that tit Souness managing the club. On his day, he was legendary, the things he could do with the ball...just wish we had gotten to see him play for us longer, and hungrier? I don't know. I'll always rate him as one of the bests I've ever seen, and I never look at his period with us other than we were fortunate to have him with us and wish it could have been better for him and us.

If he can stay fit, and Anita & Tiote can continue to build a good partnership in the centre of the park, we have a very good midfield trio on our hands. The key here is Marv can effectively dribble, create and has a decent shot on him to be a perfect link to Cisse/Ba/HBA ahead of him.

HBA is 100% starting if he's fit. I think we all know that.

Pards has obviously gotten through to him to cut out some of the over-aggressive tackling that gets him booked automatically. He's also slowly learning to pass it short and release quicker. His little spin-move that was so successful in his first season seems to be getting him into trouble at times. But he's doing it less than he was earlier in the season. He's passing simpler, which is great. Just needs to cut out the amount of times hes shooting, which I'm sure will come next. He played well in that first half, much more composed and control of himself. He's so vital to our team it's ridiculous. Now if only he could just pass the ball at goal vs. blasting it
