Probably a good spot for concerts too, and all that.

I really rate Olise, bummer he's going to waste his career at Chelsea. Competing with Madueke and Sterling at RW?

Whether the diehards will like it or not, this type of offering sort of has to be in the stadium in the new world we live in with the amount of money in football. It's also the kind of stuff our owners and our executives like and get involved with. Purely from my corporate job perspective, it's a no brainer to do this. If I was entertaining clients who just liked football but wanted to do some heavy drinking but had no stake in the match, I'd hoy them up there if thats what needed to be done for the biz.
-
It seems like the perfect venue for the club or corporate clients to entertain, and decent enough seats to get a feel of the place but otherwise I think it's hella expensive for 1 bloody match.
-
Rooftops seems like a pretty cool "private" event venue within the stadium for after hours or on random days where they don't have matches for people to have parties, business related events etc. Seems a bit too high-end for you everyday match-goer.

Can not wait to have some pints with you, mate.

Mate, I'd have to convince my wife to take a 615a LNER direct train from London to make the kick off. I'll probably take the 830 or 9a. Much appreciated for you even suggesting a way to make it work. @Yorkie and I had chatted about it as well, and I'm gutted it won't work.

If i was getting into Newcastle sooner, I'd actually be up for this But i dont think I actually get in until Noon-ish

Ya, I'd agree with you STM, I think Villa probably beats 75% of what I saw in the PL this past weekend. Having said that though, regardless of Villa's injuries our 2nd half adjustments turned the game and we became destructively ruthless in attack. I have 0 doubts about Villa's ability in the main all season - need to get Ramsey, Moreno and Buendia back and get Pau Torres playing with perhaps Carlos (for the pace?). What I don't like about Villa is the stinking Tielemans, Coutinho, Digne signings which feel all too "big name" and not boxing smart with maximizing what you got.

Wolves didn't deserve that.
-
I mean, that is a penalty. What the hell.
-
Ya, i guess so - just unique to a Poch team, no? Isn't he usually a 4-3-3 guy?
-
So how does that midfield work for Chelsea? Lavia and Cacideo are both holding mids, no? Enzo is also a deeper play maker but probably can be a very useful 8 (ala Bruno)

Love how Sir Bob ( i assume) let Fergie watch from his office whilst Fergie was presumably raging away.
-
This is all we ever wanted.

Arteta hates Tierney, i feel.

Been saying this for a while, you have to be a team that can play thru or around our press to get joy out of us and then you have to finish the 1-2 chances you get. Our athleticism is probably unmatched in the premier league - particularly up front, wide and our 8s. (It’s why I’m never going to be Ok with Bruno as an 8 because he simply cannot cover the ground Tonali, Longstaff, Joelinton and Willock can). As we evolve over the next few windows I get the sense we will have athleticism at our very core thinking for our RCB and LB. Livramento solves the RB position for the future. Schar and Botman generally win the 1 v 1 duel when we’re pushed up due to their excellent anticipation, strength and tackling.

This place is proper irking me now with the over analysis, making up reasons to slag people off or find the most detailed minute criticisms. It’s the first bloody fucking match of the season.
-
My wife teared up at the Longstaff stuff too. “Amazing moment. What a humble and sweet person”
-
Enzo needs Caciedo and to be in a double pivot with a strong attacking mid with some legs. Chelsea don’t really have that.
-
I look at our team cohesion and patterns of play (and our home crowd) and I see these and I can’t help but rate us higher.
