All we needed is for Chris Wood to either score or play a role with us picking up points. He’s done that so far.

He’s a good player. Would love to see him be a rotation player next season with a real top class and more offensive minded fullback signed as the starter - however all we need to look at is this season and he’s crucial for us.

Nothing will rip the heart out of this club. Mike Ashley spent 14 years attempting to and we fought him, we fought his appointments, we still backed the team near and far and the moment he left we celebrated like we'd won the league.

Arsenal's post invincibles rebuild and subsequent inability to build a team properly has more to do with that re: Bayern IMO Man City never had a rabid fan base like ours and has only been where they are in the modern era given the pull Man United have, you know very well that is why they never fill their stadium. I know what you're saying though, just the examples aren't exactly the best. Everyone always says these new stadiums are soulless bowls - not every stadium is that and I'm certain you could build a really beautiful one with the right group giving a ton of homage to SJP.

There's nothing better than having a really likeable manager - we had that in Keegan, SBR, CH, Rafa, and now Howe. You want to root for good people and I've said this a million times but the amount of hours Howe dedictes to the job couplde with the way he was shot down by the media after the Bournemouth relegation, you can't help but root for him in his comback story. He embodies many normal human beings who dedicate themselves to a craft and give it their all. I hope he goes on to have a very very long career here - keeping us up, and kicking on.

Interesting, hopefully Staveley is not lieing. SD is a public company so you'd imagine that would be audited - unless - truly while they were charged, it was never paid.

What I'll add to that is, yes - I prefer to stick in our current stadium and I hope there are ways we can creatively expand on our current site or (expensively) acquire adjacent land/buildings to do so. I'd also be in favor of the failed move reboot provided our current home became something that stood in the city centre and provided good for the community in exchange and maintained its name. But overall, as a football club we will need to realize that our owners are aiming for us to be the best club in football - so there are some things we may need to sacrifice if they feel it's within the business plan to achieve that result. As long as that is communicated to us and we see results, I'm all for it.

I'll support whatever it is that allows for more match going fans if the demand is there, and whatever it takes to continue to help take this club on to the next level.

Having just rewatched that match, and second half in particular, I’ve never seen a more commanding all around display by a fullback for us - i mean he does absolutely everything right and his positioning is unreal.

@JNK do you have any insight on Mattheus Cunha? Seems a really unique player really coming on recently in the National setup.

Sounds like something a players agent would say when he’s really just hoping to sign for Paris or another super top club; or someone who didn’t come because he did not get everything he wanted in a contract offer. I love how people here always hav some criticism ready to go at all times.
