i got heavy handed on us winning with 57 pts at 13th, lmao. i'm certain that means we'd finish above 13th.

With Elias gone on loan it's good opp for Toure to step up as the main man for the u23s
-
It was out of this world, he was so good that day. He looked genuinely one of the best players on the pitch.

I miss our Cheicky man

I'm just really annoyed it's on a Monday and not the weekend ffs

It's very American model now and quite frankly it's what these owners are now attempting to capture the most money on from match-going folks. You want them to come as early as possible, spend as much money as possible, then leave. Do it all over again.

Jimburst... "As it stands, United do remain up for sale for a price of around £300million - and we also understand that the price will not include additional costs to repay Ashley the interest free loans he has paid into the club." [CLUB UP FOR SALE FOR 300 MILLION. PRICE TO ACQUIRE THE CLUB WILL NOT INCLUDE LOAN REPAYMENT TO MA] "In short, this would be a straight-forward deal for a potential new owner who would get the club for £300million with a world class manager in Rafa Benitez still in place, not to mention one of the best fanbases in the game." [sTRAIGHT FORWARD DEAL TO BUY CLUB FOR 300 MILLION]
-
Why would he refer to the loan as being 'additional costs' if they weren't additional costs to the buyer? I know he's stupid but if you take what he's written I can't see how you'd come away with anything other than the loans need repaying on top of the 300m. Because he's saying the cost to buy is 300m and not 400m+ man. Lee brought it up because everyone always asks if MA is going to ask for the loan repayment on top of the 300m.
-
Yeah, it's 300m for the club. Lee Ryder does not make it sound easy to comprehend, what he should be saying is 1) "As it stands, United do remain up for sale for a price of around 300 million - and we also understand that the price is inclusive of the additional costs to repay Ashley for the interest free loans he has paid into club." 2) or he needs to say something like "...and we also understand that Ashley will not be asking a Buyer to repay any interest free loans he has paid into the club" So either 1) 300m includes the loan repayment to MA or 2) 300m for the club. Ashley retiring the loans at no cost to Buyer.

Longstaff and Ki are both not very great tacklers, IMO. We need a proper holding midfielder next to a more creative one with our current crop. Ki and Longstaff are competing for the same shirt. They probably only play together if we are down and chasing a game.

How is Almiron at delivering a final ball/pass when trying to break down a defence that's playing slightly deeper than say Wolves will next Monday? I think he'll need to in that huge double header against Huddersfield and Burnley and haven't seen many clips of him doing that. He's got quite a good cross from what I saw and good vision to unlock defenses. He's certainly got that in his pocket, his highlight reel stuff is generally the lung bursting runs from deep.
-
When Atsu gets the ball deep he makes a decent run forward and plays it up field; almiron will carry it at pace into space and what it’s going to do is let our other guys get forward as well. He’d also do the same and carry And play it forward to the CF who’d then lay off back to him into space as Miguel is a very keen pass and move type of attacker. It’s going to be exciting if he and Rondon and Perez can get some really good chemistry going. Transforms us.

Took the loan out that likely most clubs do with unimpressive commercial revenues. It’s a faciitly through Barclay who do this for the PL clubs. The PL tv money comes in tranches and spread over the season. I read it as an advanced on future tv money. I’m assuming other clubs ask for that or all of it up front (ie Wolves etc) and really leverage it all by getting it up front via the loans and then they will assume they stay up it’s paid back directly.
-
Absolutely. The thing is it’s looked even better because of the intelligence and ball playing of Lejeune and ball playing of Schar. IMO you need a both for this to work at its best.
-
Agreed. Darlow or Elliot got pelters for lesser mistakes. Still our best keeper by a distance They get pelters because they’re shit AND make errors. Dubravka is a good goalkeeper who’s made a couple of mistakes. Soft hands Karl and can’t dive low Rob made mistakes or simply didn’t save the stuff Dubvraka does 95 out a 100 times.

Cardiff crowd after. Wow.
-
Longstaff had some lovely moments today in which he'd turn under pressure into space, retain ball and distribute it out wide or forward. Really pleasing to see versus a swarming press.
-
He’s going to be a good player

Not mad at him. Wished he saved it. But shit happens.
