    MLS 2010

For f***s sake. Can we make a rule that there is no more pointless bashing of American expressions? f***ing get over it. I'll be sure to use "footy expressions" next time just for you...Wow, give me a break. And thank you Semtex.

    MLS 2010

The Sounders are the best supported club in the MLS. Took a vacation with my family to Seattle over the summer and the Sounders were playing Chelsea in a friendly. I saw crowds of people walking in their Sounders tops and scarves to do their ceremonial march into the ground. We took the fairy to Bainbridge Island to have lunch and what not and the entire boat coming to Seattle was packed with Sounders supporters. I've been watching the MLS since the innaugural season, had season tickets to the Tampa Bay Mutiny, and let me say - Sounders FC is the best supported team I've ever seen since the MLS started. Hats off to them, unfort. my Mutiny were cut from the league with crap attendance and 0 cash, but I'm slowly starting to support the Sounders. Anyone catch the MLS Cup Final last season? (Prob not, hah!) but should have heard those Sounders supporters - they came in their tops despite their team losing the round before - AND prior to the match they were defeaning with their SOUNDERS! chant, it was a special moment for any MLS fan here. Cheers for starting this thread...we appreciate it
  3. S Taylor - Williamson - Colo - Enrique
  4. The SBR Foundation on front is the most classy thing I've ever seen on our kit. I'd love that, even put the Northern Rock small under Badge like the Inter Kit & Fake Arsenal Kit that was doing the rounds recently and I'd be Okay with that. I love the kit design on that SBR Version too - -plain, classic and simple.
  5. I'm sure we will see the shirt in a week or 2 to generate interest and purchases of the shirt...no?
  6. Did he make any comments regarding it?
  7. Adding members to the squad. Promotion is not guarenteed yet. We could easilly sell the kid next summer or loan him out or use him as a squad player if we get on to the PL next season under the pecking order. Last time I checked Carroll and Ranger haven't exactly been pissing goals as of late have they?
  8. Pace on both wings...my lord its finally true.
  9. M4TT's is simple and exactly the kind of Kit I like.
  10. M4TT'S Mockup is the best I've seen to be honest. I hope thats what we go with, simple and classic. I didn't like the cheesy side angular cat cuts on the shoulder in the other one. Someone posted this on a Newcastle Mad Forum.... http://i48.tinypic.com/ibm7x0.png http://i45.tinypic.com/25gtcok.png Replace with Northern Rock, and it looks quite good if you ask me. Even change the collar color to white or black...
  11. People cry out for bodies with our paper thin squad. He's played the majority of the season and even deputised in CB (although no world-beater) he's proven to show passion in the shirt, fight for every ball, and give it his all. I quite like the player myself and I'd be happy we signed him.
  12. OK, so its official with Puma then. Was realy hoping we'd get Umbro (knew very well we'd not get Nike) and Umbro would be able to provide some "tailored by" kits. But methinks a 2 year deal is really leaving us open to hold 2 years into the Premier League and sign a contract with say a Nike or Umbro. A 2 year kit deal is 1 iteration of the home kit, and 2 away kits. Interesting, no?
  13. I'm holding out hope that Umbro will come in with their "tailored" style for England and Man City and save us... Or Nike... But Puma, I was more excited about them until I saw some of the crap they are making these days. Meh...I prefer classic style kits, I hope they don't butcher ours with 8 puma logos 4 random stripes across the chest and horrific design elements for the shorts and socks. If I was making a kit for our club - Simple black and white shirt. Plain Black shorts or 1 stripe on the side, and Plain black socks with a stripe of white on the sock that folds over. Classic, simple, and class. You can't overdesign a striped kit, and it bothers me to all hell that these companies seem to do that every time.
  14. I was hoping Nike or Umbro. Umbro would have had me happiest. Not really too chuffed about Puma. But will be open to any possible look - just hope its classic looking.
  15. If umbro were to come in, I'd think the kit would look like the adidas originals. Our home kit would be traditional black and white stripes, no strange poping or panels. Simple, black and white stripes. It woud look clean and smart. Plain black shorts and plain black socks for the win. I'm slowly warming to Umbro more and more. "Tailored by Umbro" or Nike for me. Need to get up some mock-ups.
  16. Remember when Diadora used to be prominent in kit making? I'd say Puma for the change but my god they use that damn logo way too much. I'm really hoping for either Nike. Ill be happy with Umbro if its the "tailored by Umbro" style like England and Man City have.
  17. Umbro's England and Man City are wonderful. Nike's Inter and Barca kits are brilliant. They make the smartest Nike branded polos and other apparel with the team badge on it as well. It is one of the reasons I prefer them. On top of owning a pair of Nike boots and mostly all Nike sports gear for my athletic needs. Comparing the two, Nike p!sses all over Adidas in terms of quality, which I also tend to agree when it comes to the kits Nike provides for football.
  18. Found this on the net...Written in 2003 And all over it is saying we are looking for new kit maker, kit sponser, and stadium sponser for next season.
  19. Normally true, but the actualy deal is up this summer with Adidas.
  20. I don't see a post on this topic yet, so here goes. If somehow someone made one and I am totally blind, please delete this thread... Just curious as to what people think, and maybe see if anyone has heard anything regarding it. .COM mentioned that a rival to adidas is believed to be working on this deal, if I remember correctly. Surely a "rival" to adidas would be someone like Nike, Puma, or Umbro? and not someone like Lonsdale? I'm hoping any of the big companies. If adidas stays on, great. If Nike, I'd be happier. Puma would be intriguing, and i quite like what Umbro has done for England and Manchester City.
  21. I hate it. But St. James Park is still in the name, kind of. So at least that is there. I guess?
  22. Jesus, it really has just gone tits up hasn't it? Anyone think adidas will resign? Aren't our shirt and merchandise sales still massive? I'll take Nike, Puma, or Umbro. Please god no Lonsdale or Rbk.
  23. all these new grounds look all the same. nothing special about this to be honest.
  24. Nolan is the Lampard of the Championship, fact. and Nolan is the Gerrard of the Championship, fact.
