Actually muscled the hell out of Smalling late in 2nd half too...he's always going for the curler, which I think he should just stick a foot through it.
-
still buzzing over this win
-
Don’t honestly think Keene, Smalling, Cahill, Jones, McGuire or stones could do what he did yesterday.
-
The form he's in, and the way he's outplayed others vying for their place for the Cup - he's got to be included in the squad and should be challenging for a playing role. He's simply outstanding.

Its not exactly a witch-hunt. People are rightly pointing out that we've conceded quite a few goals recently that have come from his being nowhere near his marker. He's also produced some good last-ditch saving tackles and blocks, and has been a decent threat in attack. The mistakes lead directly to goals though and someone else should get a fair crack in his place. Agree - he's switched off poorly in the back, no doubt he's been fair solid and sometimes looks very good - but his mistakes are costly (as were Lejeune's earlier in season).

Again, especially with wingers or wide men, they need to be in the starting 11 week in week out to show any kind of consistency and even then due to their position such players unless the very elite will frustrate and be inconsistent to a degree. Same applies to Murphy. If he starts at the weekend and has a mare...? Who would or what would be at fault? Honestly, after that Stoke away match, and something I've been repeating over and over - Atsu behind Ayoze, Murphy and Ritchie (now Kenedy) out wide.

I'm not saying this with the benefit of hindsight, but I did not like that sale at all. I know he wouldn't have wanted to stay with us when we went down, but he was clearly a quality young player who needed time to adapt. We could and should have still loaned him out last season, but not put in the silly "they must buy" clause in. They got panicked into doing that, he went for way under his market value in the end. 1 trillion times this.

Thauvin isn't just competing well, he's arguably one of the top 5 players in that league right now. His form is unreal.
-
Atsu either has a blinder or is fucking terrible on a single given day
-
However, now Clark seems to be at fault for most of our mistakes in the back these days...
-
Couldn't trust Clark any less than I do right now.

Literally no sympathy for any manager of any club who spends over 200m+ on transfers in 2 transfer windows even if he isn't in control of transfers. We can't break the Owen record to save our life.

100%. Blaming Rafa goes straight into the MA playbook.
-
Had to settle to buy Joselu, Manquillo, no new GK after the club fucked about with this lined up targets well within MA's shit budget. Forced to literally only spend what was physically in the bank account while other teams used whatever means necessary to spend the TV money, using whatever bank/cash facilities they had access to like normal run football clubs, lied to about budget over and over and over....and HE's doing an underwhelming job? Get a fucking grip dude.

John Fitzgerald Kennedy was grassy knoll That's what he's saying. Was named after a hospital and not John F’s brother?
-
Mbemba or Lejeune plz

Cool dig bro

John Fitzgerald Kennedy was grassy knoll

His effort in question for me is def on the outlet balls. He’s never where he should be nor does he even challenge for it anymore.
-
Proper tired of Gayle trying to size up for a shot only to be blocked or dispossessed
-
I hated every sub he made today. I realize I know nothing but just needed to say it.
-
He doesn’t even try for balls in the air man. When we’re camped in their half often times he’s just waiting as an outlet on the wing somewhere and ball cleared centrally ends up back in defenders possession. He’s worthless.
-
He’s actually always guessing right way on penalties. Q
