most forward thinking and attack minded managers would sit and go - fuck it, let me unleash them in attack wide left and wide right and tell them to go to work and terrorize the opposition. Throw in a CF like Cisse who would benefit from their movement and creativity and you'd have a tasty front 3. De Jong playing in a role behind them linking things together, joining in attack and using his intelligence would really be something. Oh and say okay Anita/Tiote to keep ball moving around and defensive duty and then one of them next to Sissoko who will be using his athleticism and pace to get about and you've got a decent attacking side there, IMO.

Read a ton about not only his work rate but his tackling ability, like I said - he reminds me more of Valbuena than anything else - which is the ultimate compliment you could give him. Valbuena is a generally unselfish player who works his socks off and creates all types of chances all over. I thought his finish was very sound as well.

I like Aarons a ton. Plays direct and has good pace on him. Lovely cross for the goal. That lineup posted above with Sissoko in the middle would do for me. Even though it's still a far cry off where I want to be.

While the club appear to be pretty s*** at bidding for players, how is it the clubs fault the 3 targets don't want to come. I'm all for slagging off the hierarchy but that's nonsense Ambition aside from club, manager, and recruitment policies - there are dozens of players capable of playing striker for us and be the lead man. So our recruitment team is responsible for finding these lesser known players and basically get them to want to join us and then we offer our shit bids. Well, 3 players we've tracked for probably an eternity - 1 was never going to leave Dortmund, 1 was toying with us but really always said Champions League, and the other turned us down for more money - came back to us on loan, and still doesn't want to come back to us. So right then, where and who are our next targets? If we've pinned our hopes on 1 of these 3 players then that's stupid. So yes, you can blame the club until we find a top striker to lead the line. <mic drop>
