Presume the idea behind sponsor boxes is the same as blank spaces for numbers, executive types terrified that people on telly won't be able to see the sponsor against stripes. i understand the marketing aspect of having the box, i just hate it! funny thing is, when i 1st started supporting the toon, there was no box for Northern Rock on the strip & i still could read it. marketing mission accomplished!

I wouldn't be too dissapointed with that to be honest, though a little work on the sleeves is needed. i like the sleeves. it's the sponsor box that must go!

you've got me thinking--wasn't competing w/ the bottom 9 just what we were doing in our relegation season? and that with a much higher wage bill & far less heart & team unity. so, first things first & one thing at a time for me. heck, i'd be satisfied (but not pleased or even content) with 17th next year.
