well, i believe he is injured and it affects his play negatively. i also think that no time would've been too soon for him to have the necessary surgery. do it right now! but, i also think that shola believes his playing through the pain helps this club and that the coaching staff take advantage of him b/c of the number of strikers available. there's a fine line between courageous and stupid... they all are being stupid now. if shola's so great, get him the surgery asap. besides, it's not like his being gone will spoil a tremendous run of wins or anything.

i like his positive attitude, and suppose it's heroic the way he's played through pain & injury, but, the WAY he plays through those injuries has been painful to watch. honestly ameobi plays football the way i'd expect a giraffe to figure skate--he falls down often, slips and slides more and really looks like he's out of his element. on top of this he's less graceful than the giraffe b/c the giraffe has a better 1st touch! he trapped the ball very suspiciously at times vs chelsea... and yet, somehow, i STILL have hope for the guy! bluesigh.gif please shoot me now!
