Is that a rule now for having an opinion that a player is not good and not worth keeping? We have to somehow know the availability of replacements/improvements? Seems like a silly requirement tbh. I'll just stick to thinking he's not worth keeping, ta. Because I consider the option of "get rid without replacement" equals to bullshit. What's the point of getting 15m and then relegate? Hanging on Mitrovic may not guarantee us safe, but having Gayle as the only striker for this season guarantee Championship next season. Mitro isn't the striker we need. He doesn't score enough in the PL and he didn't score enough in the championship and he doesn't fit into the system that Rafa plays. I love the guy but I don't see the point in keeping him. I'm confident we could get a striker for £15m that fits Rafa's style better and would at least equal the 8-10 goals we'll get from Mitro this season. Negredo might be worth taking a punt on for example, he's a much better finisher than Mitro for a start Aye, see how many people would fancy Negredo for Mitrovic?

I think it's the other way round. He doesn't know how to play as a squad player. He only know how to play as a key player with all the others supporting him like @ Nice. It could be down to coaching or lack of personal interest to adapt. For teams like PSG, why would they treat HBA as their only sweet prince?

To those who vote for Sell, please kindly suggest who to bring in for 15m within our reach, or who to loan in that really can do a job.
-
Yup. Striker is top priority now. Just splash all the money left on Batshu please.
-
Good luck boy.

And I wonder why you guys are surprised that it's only 7m. He only cost Dortmund 3.2m last year and failed to make any impact, being frozen out for one year and now being sold for twice the amount. Dortmund are very happy to clear out deadwood with decent profits.
-
Even Dortmund fans aren't saying he's s***, mind. More that he's just young and didn't really have or get a chance. Dortmund would never limit youngsters playing time if they are good enough. Anyway I hope he is a success, I sincerely hope so. Just to remind you guys that he is not guaranteed to be a bargain for us and there is obvious risk behind.

as ever, would you rather have colback? argument settled Not settled, what's worse than having Colback is to have 2 Colback.
-
I am torn. I like this kind of signing, and 7m is a good gamble. The only drawback is he is shit based on his limited time in Dortmund. I hope he is a success but I honestly won't be surprised if he is a flop.
-
So we sold our fringe striker for 16m, and get in a striker from Lique 1 for 5m. And this guy just score 10 goals last season. If you don't think this is a huge step towards the championship, you need a brain check.
-
It has to be said that some of Rafa signing has been disappointing and is part of the reason for so many dead woods.
-
Not if we get one in I sincerely hope so. 3 weeks before our first game. I am very pessimistic. May as well just give Woodman a chance then.
-
So Elliot is our starting GK.

He'll have to leave europe alltogether if he wants to avoid it. Practically it's Spains tax authority that is most harsh/aggressive in digging out these kinda agreements though. And to make it worse, Neymars tax profile is already bad enough due to his transfer. Another reason could be the political weather getting worse and worse. Isn't an independence referendum coming soon?
-
Neymar will quit Barca imo. The dodgy tax issue may come back anytime and it's better for Neymar to quit this country asap.

He is the one who is responsible to bring up the boys from U18 to U23. Ultimately speaking, he is the one who has the most impact on the boys. If Pedro isn't the one responsible, who else should? Ashley again?

There are two serious problems right now. Clearly the youngsters have absolutely no confidence in our coaching and if they have real ambition they should leave for a better set up. That means the remaining one are in fact bad apples. Another thing is our coach are so bad that they cannot recognise the young players potential whilst our rivals are able to. 6m is not a small amount and if we signed someone at this price we already expect that player to be in our first team. That shows how far behind we are now comparing with Everton in spotting talents and investing for future. In a sense, I am deeply disappointed by the fact that Rafa are not able to spot, keep and coach our young talents. Things didn't change that much aren't they? Instead of hoping to have someone replacing Dummett, the boys simply telling the club that here has no future and the best option is to quit whenever there is opportunity. Fuck off Pedro. This guy is a cancer to our academy. I don't care what he did for us as a player but he ruins our academy for how many years?
-
Not a chance we'll get anywhere near £6m for Hanley. I'm talking about how much we bought him for, which was just under £6m Correct
-
I don't understand the reaction. Where are you guys in Arma thread? Why is Arma not getting any support to take a shot in first team? Fucking horrible double standards.
-
Exactly. This can be proved later by observing Swanseas team selection. That said, Abraham should start for them in any case considering their options.
-
It's tricky. Krul seems finished but Darlow and Elliot seems deserve a chance to start. The best option is to sign a veteran and sent this two out, make ways for Woodman one year later...but seems the chance has gone. Same for our CB. Florian has to start, no question. Then we got Clark and Lacelles. Mbemba as 4th choice. Is this lineup reliable? No. Are we able to make significant improvement now? No too. We need to sort out our left back, left wing and striker problem which is much more important then our CB now. These two positions are far from dependable but we have priorities. We are going to relegate if no striker signed before Sep.
-
That's a good signing. Young English two footed pacy winger playing regularly in Championship for 12-16m sounds about right. And we desperatly need a breakthrough.
