Often you'll see the on field officials and TMO discuss various factors, this would be a classic case of it looks bad but there are mitigating factors. They don't always get it right of course but the transparency helps IMO.

It is a joke, anyone with half a brain can see what has happened. Two officials have managed to convince the ref that he was wrong. Again I would love to have heard the audio on this one. I have no sympathy for the ref he should have had the balls to disagree with VAR.

According to the predictor I did this morning three home wins would be enough. I had us finishing 5th but 4 points ahead of Villa. I did predict a point at Brighton. I think 3 wins and a draw is more than realistic for us. I may have been too harsh on Villa. Be class to go into the last game not needing anything.

True but we are so close now that it will feel like a disappointment to miss out on CL especially if there are no PSR issues it may give us chance to really push on. However, at the start of the season if you offered me the cup and a top 6/7 finish which "should" be guaranteed I would have snapped your hand off for it.

I was having this debate with a mate the other day, he was wondering why I didn't want an English club to win the CL. Now I wouldn't begrudge Villa so much as it would be a big fingers up at the elite clubs but I have no real like for any of the remaining CL clubs, Dortmund would probably be my number one pick from here. As mentioned in the other competitions with the remaining clubs I have no desire for them to win. I didn't mind West Ham taking the Conference a few years back.
