I think a draw even without a striker crisis would be a good result away to Villa, I am hoping we can snatch an early goal and then revert to JoeyBall and frustrate the hell out of them, with the pace we have in attack as they get more desperate we could catch them on the break.

I am confident this happens shortly but think it will "officially" go through after the weekend deadline, if it were the other way around I wouldn't want Ramsey potentially playing against us on his debut!

I am pretty sure IF and that is a big if Wissa signs in time for Villa he would be on the bench a lot to do with lack of game time this preseason. In Thiaw's case I think he will be a slow burn (injuries pending) into the starting line up!

If we are to start the season well I think we need Gordon to really step up centrally. I don't have much confidence in that but the lad has ability and his work rate can't be questioned. Hopefully Barnes and Elanga causing bother out wide will create space for AG in the middle. An early goal up top from him v Villa could do wonders!

Yeah you would hope with the big characters in the dressing room that if it comes to Isak returning to the fold that there is no awkwardness. As mentioned I don't think his relationship with the fans will ever be totally repaired but in a few months if he is banging in goas again and on those little club videos playing games a lot will be forgiven.

I wish we were in a position to let him "rot in the reserves" this whole saga has done my head in and I feel this can't be repaired now. Us football fans are a fickle bunch and if he smashes a few goals in a lot will be forgiven. This just seems to have gone sour real quick for no reason at all. Would love to know what the likes of Bruno, Tonali etc really feel about all of this.

I really hope none of the Saudi PIF clubs help Liverpool out this summer. Surely this mini saga wouldn't have gone unnoticed by our management. I am also not 100% convinced Liverpool will go as high as needed for Frankfurt until the move on one of their players.

Not that I think this is the case but I would love it if we were working on another striker behind the scenes and we announce him shortly. Icing on the cake would be a one year extension (at least) preferably a whole new contract with Isak. Wishful thinking huh!

Yep, they will have the cash to spend. Big change after all these years with Frank. Hopefully like Brute says they will be rock bottom. Not even sure if Leeds and Burnley have been in the transfer market yet but they were miles ahead last season.

It is strange seeing their confidence after they finished so far behind Leeds and Burnley last season. I know nothing of the players they have signed other than Adringa who has been decent when I have seen him at times and at least looks like he belongs in the PL.

I think only Brentford could potentially upset this, with possible loss of Wissa on top of probably Mbeumo. A new manager to adapt to as well. Most seasons I write Wolves off finally but it never happens, even last year the picked up points without Cunha so I expect them to be ok.

I assume Spurs would be sniffing around this one if he is available, then again Forest could be taking all their attention at the moment.

Upgrading midfield options by selling Longstaff and buying Gallagher seems a no brainer to me. It would be a minimal hit on PSR and he is a big upgrade on Longstaff. With the recent injury woes of big Joelinton I think Gallagher would have a lot to offer this season.

I wouldn't be surprised if we did manage to get more, I hope we do. Just feel it is about right (£12m). Hopefully Napoli see him a another McTominay

The lack of minutes is quite telling for someone who is clearly well liked and respected by Eddie. I've seen a lot online say that £12m is low ball but for me with a year left on his contract, where he is in the pecking order it sounds about right. I think he would be a good signing for Leeds.

Was thinking this myself, however, I am sure the related party bollocks would be used against us. If it is a loophole that can be exploited and we used it, you can sure as hell guarantee that the loophole will be closed in super quick time by the PL.

I've seen us linked to Wissa, I think this would be a good back up/partner at times for Isak but surely of the back of the season he just had Brentford could fleece us if they wanted?
