  1. I loved Dream Team. Didn't the Sun run a transfer link to a Premiership club that was actually a character from the TV Show. Anyway clearly Prior is the new Ian Wright, potential buy of the season Potential strike force costing £12K between them. That's how Fat Mike rolls.
  2. I'm obviously below Barton's intellect as I've never even fucking heard of Chomsky. I'm off to watch the Discovery Channel & The History Channel now so that I can still follow Joey on Twitter.

    Sunderland...

Just goes to show the lack of respect a lot of footballers have for the general population. They are obviously think they are above the law and in a way they are treated that way. They get away with speeding and fines at time, would have Joe Bloggs spent more time in prison than Joey Barton? Had the accusations and defense been reversed in the Gerrard incident would it have stood up in court? Bendtner and Cattermole are cocks at the best of times, but to smash peoples car up which in a lot of cases are essential to their everyday life. I wander how the Classy Sunderland fans would react if one of their cars got smashed up. Or I wander what their opinion is if Joe Bloggs smash up their car, would Bendtner and Cattermole be heroes then. Pricks of the highest order.
  4. Can we put an advertising board in front of Alan Smith and let Temuri loose, that way we guarentee no Smith.
  5. I hope to God Smith doesn't play, Swansea's mobility in the center of the park will run him ragged, could see him getting sent off, especially being ring rusty. Hopefully Abeid will play looks a good prospect.
  6. As wrong as it is I am a Newcastle fan from Swansea. Born and bred there. As a kid I was kind of glory grabbing by supporting Newcastle over Swansea, even though I have enjoyed Swansea's success as of late I still am 100% behind the Toon. I'm getting stick from a load of my mates quite rightly so. Some of them expected me to all of a sudden support Swansea when Newcastle were relegated to the Championship, I just can't do that. I have one made who last season was a mad Man Utd fan, now this season he's the biggest Jack you've seen. Tattooed up/all the shirts/season ticket. Last time I made a post like this it ended up on a Swansea forum and I took some stick. I went to the Liberty to watch Swansea v Newcastle when we were gash and Carroll got the late equaliser, thank God I was in posh seats because I couldn't hid my pleasure in the equaliser. We'll some guy posted a youtube video of a fan looking sad when Swansea scored and wandering if it was Tisd09, thankfully it was some old bastard and not me. Anyway, i think this game will be tricky for the Toon, I'd be a lot happier with Colo playing, but Swansea can be very toothless in attack so we should be ok and I think Ba will cause them problems. 2-0 Toon Ba, Shola
  7. I'd be too shot scared to talk to Tim Roth after watching Lie to Me, I would expect him to be in character and be a right 'orrible bastard to me. Gutted about the Norwich result, even with our patched up team I thought we may have got something there. Pity about Gosling, it was a very silly challenge, big game against Swansea Saturday, be good to end this run of results.

    Danny Guthrie

Hopefully Gosling & Abeid will be seen on the pitch before Smith is?
  9. I thought last season he quite rightly kept his place over Taylor, but to be fair to Taylor he's been vastly improved this season and it will prove difficult for Williamson to get back in. Great news that he will be back soon. Seems a good solid pro.

    Sunderland...

I used to think O'Neill would be a good manager, but he has caused problems one way or another in his last few jobs. Its a tough job at Sunderland for anyone, just not sure O'Neill would be the best choice. I'm not a huge fan of his but I would much prefer Mark Hughes as manager, think he dropped a bollock leaving Fulham like he did. His Blackburn team were horrible but he got results to be fair to him, and even though Mancini is a better manager than him I do think Man City pulled the trigger a bit too quickly on him, in hindsight it was a good decision but at the time I think it was a bit harsh.

    Sunderland...

I find it upsetting every time I hear about a young soldier losing his/her life in Afghanistan. I didn't find Speed's suicide upsetting as all. Apologies if this doesn't fit. FFS. Why wouldn't anyone find the fact that a nice bloke (by most accounts) who has a family killed himself at the age of 43, the fact that its a formal player who played for your team is irrelevant. A person killing themselves is tragic. I assume this jack ass is a football fan? How can any football fan not feel upset about this in anyway? Surely team loyalties are irrelevant in this situation.

    Soft spot?

I've always like Deportivo La Coruna, couldn't tell you why, all my mates went with Real & Barca and I wanted to be different but not in a Xisco kind of way
  13. As much as I think we'll lose I am looking forward to the game against City. We are in a no lose situation, the fans expect to lose, the media expect us to lose, rival fans expect us to lose, so if we lose then we shouldn't get hammered by the press then again they are a bunch of wankers and will probably use a defeat to point out that we have been flukey so far and really we are shit.

    Alan Pardew

you're ignoring the fact that the FA are almost certain to go english when cappello f***s off, once you factor that in there aren't many better candidates assuming pardew manages to maintain upward progress as regards the why would he take it? it is one of the most poisoned jobs in football but it's all about the rewards for the person that succeeds, financial but mainly otherwise To be fair, the Newcastle job is seen as a posioned chalice by many. He's done an ok job there. If you think about it, if the FA do want an English manager then he probably will be on a shortlist especially if we continue to improve. Harry has got to be nailed on favourite but he does have a heart problem, the other option probably ahead of Pardew right now is Stuart Pearce. Outside Redknapp/Pearce/Pardew I'd be struggling to complete a short list. Though I am sure in the Fat Sam household he'd be nailed on.
  15. I remember the Swansea game, Swansea starved them of possesion for the first 15-20 minutes but created 'excuse the pun jack shit'. Man City looked to be struggling, but they soon worked out how to get the ball back by pushing up higher against Swansea as Swansea did offer much going forward Man City could afford to press higher. Man City are an awesome team and we'll need to be at our best to beat them. Part of me thinks why change what we've been good at this season but then again we could be opening ourselves up for a tuning. Heart says 4-4-2 head says pack the midfield.
  16. This. It's fairly funny though it's getting a little boring now, but at least he is not bring our club into his circus. He does have a bit of wit and is quite sharp to be fair but I like how he picks and chooses his enemies. He pretty much arse licks most other 'personalities' on there. Even though he had a real disagreement with Jack Wilshere on there after our game against them he didn't carry it on to this level as he has done with the Essex lot.
  17. I was reluctant to come into this thread again, especially after lurking in the Ben Arfa thread but this just made it all worth it. Brilliant!
  18. This past page has been like a bad trip. WTF I'm confused.

Thought that was for real until I read "wolves" Nice one Cheeky fucking prick. Wish he'd fuck off to his better suited position in a fucking ditch. Why will Liverpool just get stronger? What have they done to prove that their performances didn't peak at Man U or their win at Arsenal. "Journalism" like this pisses me right off. Yes we all know that 7th is probably the best we can get but this is just condescending tripe. Fuck off Lawro!
  22. Tisd09

    James Perch

Some referees would have given him red in my opinion. It was reckless in the sence that he had no control regardless whether he made contact with the ball or not. These days taking the ball is not always enough. Had Perch's foot come off the ball differently then Whelan could have been hurt. Glad it was a yellow, would have been tamping at the time if he'd be sent off, but looking at it with hindsight, the fact that we won and its Perch after all it wouldn't have been wrong to see red. If lesser challenges given reds.
  23. Its harsh on Guthrie but IMO its a different situation to Ryan Taylor, for me if Tiote is fully fit he starts. Guthries performance Monday night was quality so if Tiote still has a bit of a niggle I wouldn't risk him, hoping that Guthrie can continue.

    Sunderland...

Er.... he said african, oh, um, never mind. That pesky Mag at work again - at least its an original story!
  25. The big problem with playing Man City/Man U/Chelsea in a row is the potential for 3 losses in a row. Spread out throughout the season 3 losses against these 3 would be no huge problem, but as Bolton have shown its difficult to get out of the losing habit. Its great that we can see potential in getting points out of the next few games, it just shows how good a start we have made. Given current form I'd be dissapointed to come away from the Chelsea game without any points, but it is a big ask to get anything from Manchester, but its a big ask to come away from Stoke with 3 points.
