They love a good old petition don't they? If what the OP says is true does sound harsh, but I get the feeling there is a bit more to it than being portrayed on RAWK.
-
It is a season too soon but I think we have to take this appourtunity. Maybe Pards can flash his award winning s smile at Mike and get him to purchase a few extra players compared to our original plans?
-
I don't know why but this comment has cheered me up no end, it has inspired me to fuck off here and actually do some work. Working during school holidays in a school is no fun after day 1.

Was it true that we could have signed Rebrov & Shevchenko for stupidly cheap money after we played them in Europe all those years back, or am I manipulating facts to make KKK look even more of a prick? Shevchenko was an awesome player, I am gutted that things didn't work out for him in the Premiership. There are players that you would love to see in the Premiership pretty much regardless of who they play for as they are so good and he was one for me. Bit like players like Bergkamp and Zola even though I dislike Arsenal and Chelsea the Prem League is much better of for having them in it.
-
No that was Spurs, remember they went through a glut of it a number of years back. I am sure Ronaldinho nearly signed for them on a few occasions. Of course we nearly signed Emerton & Kuyt. Roeder still scouting him probably.

A top quality centre half is a must and a good left back and we'll have a very strong looking team. I know nothing of this Butterfield character but other than his mashed up knee sounds an ideal player for us. We love players with smash for a knee. Gosling, Ba now this Butterfield.

Yeah but Ryan Taylor > HBA what an award winning argument.

Don't think this applies to RTG or any Mackem really
-
A lot of their play comes through Britton, if we starve and disrupt him it tends to knock Swansea's flowing game. Sigurdsson was hell of a loan signing for them in January he's been excellent so stopping him is key too. Even though defensively they have been good I think they can be got at, Ashley Williams is a beast in the air and very powerful but I think we can get at him on the floor.
-
Me too but I think with Del Boy and Fat Mike at the helm I doubt that will happen. Developing unknown players has it's risks and over the years we'll probably have to put up with more Carroll like sales, but as long as we invest those funds positively then I don't see a massive problem in that. On another note. The DOF idea is a good thing as long as they have the full support of the manager. We all know Dein had a big role in Arsenal's success. The club made a mistake with Wise for a number of reason's one of the biggest the manager not having a clue it was happening.

Jonas in midfield over Guthrie maybe a good thing for this game. Our midfield 3 need to suffocate the Swansea 3, it needs a lot of energy and stamina to do that and I think Jonas is far more suited to a high energy game than Guthrie. Gosling's lack of match sharpness would hinder our chances on Friday. This will be a tough game. Regardless of the Spurs defeat Swansea will be confident at home, but we should be confident to, we just excelled in one of our biggest games of the season and in the process probably??? secured 6th spot, what an achievement.

Tiote playing like he did on Sunday makes him one of the best in the league in his position. He did everything on Sunday, like he did against Man Utd, the two outstanding games this season for him. Its been a tough 2nd season for him but I think he comes out of it with his reputation in tact. It may even work out in our favour that he hasn't been as spectacular this season as last, maybe he has dipped below the radar of big clubs like "Liverpool" :)
-
Unless we are brining on other midfielder's I think Guthrie has earned a new contract this season. By far his best performances have come this season.
-
Maybe it was a clever ploy to put the financial side of things in peoples mind, so we will donate and Dave will go off laughing to the back with a hat full of money. Maybe Dave is really Mike Ashley manipulating us all :) Just glad this place is alive and kicking especially after days like yesterday.
-
I fell for hit hook line etc,, didn't go on all day until about 8:30 just to chance that it had been put back on in light on the excellent result v Liverpool. Then when I logged in pretty much guessed I'd been punked

Can I just say :) :) :) :) is that a bit much? You can imagine each one of those dirty cretins who have sent their Mag mate a text this afternoon wishing there was a recall button.

"Kenny knows this is not right and will be working as best he can to put things right. Anyone calling for him to resign should be ashamed of themselves. If it was in the best interests of this club for him to resign, Kenny probably would. Nobody is viewing Kenny as a 'saviour' or a 'messiah'. Kenny is LFC. Kenny is one of us, and that is how he should be treated" Kenny is LFC :) Hopefully the club will continue to think the same. Its a different era to the last time Kenny was successful, I think he is too out of touch now and maybe even him "being LFC" is hindering his decision making, such as the handling of the Suarez situation. Chelsea managed to stick by their player without causing too much controversy over his incident with Ferdinand.
-
Still can't believe the blind backing of Kenny by some supporters. A very sensible mate of mine normally just things he's the best around, refuses to acknowledge that Kenny's record and Hodgson's are very similar and that Kenny has had chance to build 'his' team with a shit load of money. Any other team spend that kind of money and cannot even guarantee 7th at this point in the season the manager would be run out of town.
-
Worried about this games the Baggies are not bad, they'll be confident after turning us over at St James' earlier this year. At this moment in time I would take a point from here. Hopefully Spurs and Chelsea kick the shit out of each other in a brutal draw or something
-
The sad thing is he probably won't. He's earnt a fair wage with us the past year or so for doing f*** all. Can see that being good enough for this little wankstain. He might be too stupid to grasp what he have wasted. As for him being a "gangster" i think he will waste the money before he is 40. Unbelievable stuff really, think about how many less naturally gifted players who would die to get a shot in the PL, sickening! Thing is that there probably are less talented players in the Premiership playing now, but because this guy is a clown he is missing a golden opportunity. I'd be happy to sack the fool now. Time to move on.
-
I think we've been asking too much of him defensively, he seems reluctant to over commit going forward knowing he is expected to get back to protect our defence, would love to see him given a bit more freedom, but cannot see how given our current set up.
-
It is a must win game for our ambitions of finishing top 6. Surprising how Sunderland and Everton seem to be in the mix again. With 10 games left a lot can happen, hopefully it will be a draw tonight, with mass brawls, injuries and sending's off Saying that I don't mind Everton too much but we need to be selfish at the moment, so no offence to Neil!
-
I would like to see Guthrie come in alongside Tiote to try and free up Cabaye, very doubtful it will happen though. Wouldn't be surprised to see; GK Krul RB Simmo CB Willow CB Colo LB Raylor RM Guthrie CM Tiote CM Cabaye LM Jonas AMC HBA CF BA
-
I was too ill to be angry last night, but that was a gutter. Not too bothered by the Van Persie thing, it was a little cunty but as someone said, if it were the other way around Krul would be a legend. Why so many players attacking with one minute left, we would have been better off Ben Arfa throwing the ball for Shola to fuck around with possibly even foul an Arsenal player right in the corner. At least it allows us to get into a bit of shape. I hope Pardew reads the riot act over that one.
-
Hopefully he'll just be a squad filler next season, I think he's earned a new contract to be honest. He is limited but pretty solid this season. I would have him in the team before Simmo on current form.
