  1. As a Newcastle fan I don't see us seriously finishing in the top 4 and i'm guessing non-fans aren't either. Today's a big game. We win and a lot of people look at us differently. Including myself.
  2. Build em up, tear them down. He's an excellent keeper but hasn't done much to deserve such an accolade. Same man would tell you John Terry is one of the couple best in his position too...
  3. Let's be honest with ourselves, we'll do very well to stay 6th. As long as we're sitting at 6th though, we at least deserved to be mentioned in the same group as the other teams around us. Even if the odds are against us. Why? The talent of our squad doesn't really deserve it. If we win today I think a lot of people might genuinely believe we can sneak in there but at the moment we shouldn't pretend just to make us feel better.

  5. You need to look at those fixtures to understand though,
  6. Aye, City are only on course to finish with over 90 points. Also comfortably out the CL in the group stages. Comfortably out? They finished 10 points ahead of 4th and a point behind 2nd. Stop telling fibs. They didn't deserve to go through. Could've easily lost at home to Napoli and comfortably beaten away by Bayern and Napoli. There's a limit to how great a side can be when they play Gareth Barry all the time. United have been weaker year on year since Ronaldo left.
  7. Pretty certain both Raylor and Ameobi will start. We'll start the team that played after Yohan got injured.
  8. Being rapid is pretty useful in any nation
  9. Didier is one of my favourite PL players of all time. But lesbehonest he's not seeing Eto'o. I'm sad he's gone like. Tremendous player.
  10. God will cry if this happens. It won't. They'll be in the CL and bring in a big name manager.
  11. He only managed less than 1 in 2 goals for Liverpool once. His record there is very strong. Just checked his stats at Man U.... have to agree there. You've actually got a point with the 'never scored 20 league goals', too. Just by looking at his stats it seems like a great record, looking a bit deeper into it it probably doesn't anymore.
  12. The lads quality. Give it 18 months and we'll all see.
  13. R.Madrid are mentally defeated by Barca before they even step foot on the pitch. I reckon Barca are beatable in the CL and I would wager that they won't win it this season. However it will not be Real to knock them out. Drawing each other in the CL is a free pass for Barca.
  14. From a youtube comp he looks to lead the line. Passes and moves
  15. Yep deserved. From the first minute really. Arsenal looked dangerous obviously but so did they. Didn't hang on either. Pushed on for another and were fairly comfortable. Would've liked to see us do that against QPR instead of bringing on Perch like.
  16. Typical Shola performance. A few headers, a few good touches, held up the ball well at times. And a ltof of the times none of the aforementioned.
  17. Should've scored when Bafa put Best through and the ball came towards him. Ba would've sniffed it out. Shola was on his heels. Typical.
  18. Should've got the through ball let alone made the save.
  19. Normall find him funny but he was an arse today.
  20. tbf I don't remember it back firing on Pards.
  21. I'd rather not go on about his limitations. Solid as fuck. Great long term back-up for Colo/Saylor.
  22. He's no Santon/Colo or even Saylor on the ball. But he doesn't take many risks either. Which balances it out. Alongside Colo it doesn't matter too much. I'm more concerned with Danny being shit scared of the bal tbh.
  23. Yep. We swapped positions with Spurs when SBR was sacked and we've been jelly ever since.

  25. He'll be banned from the group games but I reckon they'll still take him.
