  1. Aye his finishing is pretty good. Alan Smith should "peep game".
  2. Really? Yeah, it was big about my family; my brother, my dad, my Grandad, but I never really sat down and watched a match. I can remember the day in 2002 though, when I sat and watched a Newcastle match with them and thought "Wow. This is brilliant" and I ain't turned back since. Which one? Ironically Man U 5-3 Newcastle
  3. Surprised by how many started supporting in the 90's as compared to the 80's. I thought 80's babies run this.
  4. Seems he excorcised all his demons by keeping a clean sheet against us. Since then he's been on a rampage. Just great ... Give it time. He did have some decent games for us. He will always find his natural game in the end though The Fat Man had some brilliant games tbf.
  5. Very good point on him being an honourable man. If it all goes tits up he'll leave
  6. We'll find out in 3 years if it was worth it.
  7. Yeah it is. Deep down, I'm gutted but howay man.. if it fails it will shut some people up!!
  8. Fuck it.... C'MON KING KEV!!!!
  9. I love these emphatic statements. They have one of the best defences in the league, arguably the best midfield, and one of the most potent strikers in the league. They are good enough, at least to put in a credible challenge, but as people have said, the manager and his bizarre methods get in the way. They've had to play the aging Hypia alot this season because of injuries to Agger. A brilliant centre of midfield but the midfield lacks creativity. Benayoun & Babel are very good players but I don't think they'd get in any of the other top 3 teams. Voronin and Kuyt aren't good enough. Take way Torres and you wonder where the goals are coming from.
  10. Liverpool are simply not good enough. Kuyt and Voronin wouldn't make the bench at the other 3 clubs and players like Benayoun and Babel who are both very good players shouldn't be in the first XI. Them not really having the quality to win the league is largely down to Rafa. They do have some of the best central midfielders though. Alonso, Gerrard & Mascherano is probably better than any combo of 3 central midfielders in the Premiership.
  11. Houllier's transfers at Liverpool where often highly shit. He worries me.
  12. lol. No defending that tbh.
  13. He did what was needed to stay up. the next season their play improved dramatically with the introduction of Bellamy as their main player.
  14. First full season he finished 6th and then sold his best player at the time.
  15. Getting results in the first division with a squad of first division quality players doesn't devalue the win percentage. I'd give credit to Harry for his first spell at Portsmouth; and Coppell's record shows how good he is No it doesn't devalue the win percentage but the Premiership and the first Division are 2 very different kettles of fish. I would bet ian Dowie's record at Palace or even Keane's would beat a Redknapp because of the amount of time in the Premiership. So is someone going to show me the Premiership records?
  16. You know why we have them.. because they are not at the height of their powers. Duff & Geremi = knackered. Mourinho gave us these "bargains" because they are both knackered and he knew it. Owen = Legs have gone. No pace. Smith & Butt = 1 is shit and the other is knackered. Take your pick as it applies to the both of them. Martins & Emre = Emre has never really produced it for us and I could write pages but the ads and dis of Oba. Beye and Faye are both pretty old aren't they?
