  1. Totally agree. Top, top player and is actually under-rated by England & Premiership fans. He's more important to England than any other player. He's the only England player to consistently to a quality and looks as good for his club as he does England unlike every single other England player.
  2. I still think even if we have success with Big Sam in time his style of play will eventually cost him his job.
  3. Berbatov is so extra. Some call it class but that was just extra.
  4. He has homosexual quirks doesn't he? Little looks and stuff.
  5. Eiidur Gudjohnson as the greatest accent.
  6. His best prolonged run of form was after he got sent-off at Everton early in the 2003-4 season up until about February of that season. I remember he was on fire at the time and was overlooked for the France squad with Bruno Cheyrou selected ahead of him after a run of about 3-4 decent games for Liverpool that December and that seemed to knock the stuffing out of him. True. I remember SBR talking about how he was also working much harder for the team. Something about now when I substitute him or at the end of the game and I tap him on the back I can actually feel the sweat; I couldn't before. After Cheyrou got picked ahead of him his form dipped again. What was his highest ever Premierhsip goals tally? How long will it be until someone from midfield scores more than that?
  7. I don't even think it's because she's a woman. She's just crap. Almost as bad as the cringe master who does the ITV UEFA Cup and CL matches. And i'm not talking about Pleat.. I remember now.. Tyldesley or whatever.
  8. Hopefully.... January window will be crucial. We lack quality & still leaking goals.
  9. When they get the ball they don't launch straight back to the opposition. They like the ball, the ball is their friend.
  10. And Ronaldo yesterday - f****** joke that Aye, all the debate over whether ours was a penalty or not, and a clear dive off Ronaldo ignored by the media. Aye, granted they were winning 3-1 but still a dive is a dive
  11. Inconsistency? He is anything but that. One decent game amongst a plethora of s**** ones suggests you are wrong. Best player on the park was Beye by the way. Again, I think people get fooled by a lovely stepover followed by an utterly s*** cross. The sitter he missed was indicative of his play. f*** knows how he managed that the biff. Don't get me wrong, he wasnt bad but some of the stuff here is mind blowingly over the top. Its a good job the bairns here didnt see Chrissy Waddle against Man City in 1983. There would be teen jizz all over monitors on Tyneside. That was a proper display from a true winger with ability (and anyone who reckons Waddler lacked pace clearly never saw him! ) This is the forum where members think Eboue isn't that fast.
  12. He'll always be a decent player. He likes to attack fullbacks but he lacks the pace to really terrorize them. He doesn't look up and place his crosses, he just runs and swings his foot in hope. He doesn't have Solano's eye for a pass/cross nor the technical ability to pull it off. I hope in time we could sign someone better.
  13. Aye and he hit it with some force. When he got it right he was brilliant. When you look at the attacking players we had during SBR's best spell, you could fancy us to beat any team on our day. Robert Shearer Bellamy 50 odd goals a season there. Speed Dyer Solano Jenas Likely to pop up and score a few as well. Always fancied Speed or Shearer to score from a corner or set-piece, Robert could put one in the top corner. For awhile with Dyer & Bellamy we looked like one of the fittest teams in the league. Ungrateful lot we were.
  14. Martins is probably the least of our problems striking wise. He doesn't get into very good positions and doesn't make good runs enough of the time. However i'm more worried with the striker who can't score. The other one who is old, slow and injury prone and the last who is injury prone, lacks pace and doesn't off the team as a whole much at all.
  15. We had hoped we would've replaced him with someone as talented but with a higher work ethic. His name is Damien Duff, except he's been knackered and shit.
  16. Criticism of Martins is yet another example of Newcastle fans thinking above their station. There's room for constructive criticism of every player - with Martins it often goes way beyond that. Just who the f*** do these idiots think is going to step in and replace him so easily at the click of a finger? Michael Owen of 2001
  17. Showed some awareness when he let the ball run through to Taylor. Definitely not "gash".
  18. He'll probably be our top scorer again this season.
  19. No. Oba is far from perfect but i'm so glad we bought him instead.
  20. Viduka is old. Owen is knackered. Smith can't score. Oba is far from complete.
