Agreed. For a while I thought we were playing 4-3-3 but it was a narrow 4 with Martins floating to the right.
-
It seems obvious....
-
More mobile than Viduka but the FAB will get you more goals imo. true.
-
The bigger problem for him is getting a game. How hard is it for a fullback to "adapt to the Premiership"? I reckon Sam doesn't fancy him very much n/h.
-
Owen will never play 15 consecutive Premiership games ever again. Smith played very well and Martins had one of those games where his first touch was decent and his passing was consistent.
-
And Vids will come on and score twice.
-
I reckon Zog will get raped today.

£23.8m. Interesting. And HTT. When comparing starts of a manager you don't just take the WDDWL as a guide as to how well they are doing. You have to compare the form of the team before the manager came in, their position in the league. The teams they've played etc. etc. Gary Megson has had DDDWL in his 5 Prem games. That's pretty s*** when you think about it but it's miles better than what they were doing before. They've also faced 2 top 4 teams and beaten one of them. The team also looks a lot better than before he took over. What do you take me for? Of course I didn't. I just wanted a general picture. Btw Sven is a fluke, his record is streets ahead of everyone else all things granted, takeovers, poor team, lots of new players, which I guess emphasizes what a great job he's doing. Although to start selling DVDs about... lol, I thought about pulling the "What About Sven Card". I'm tired. I'm going to see sleep.

6 points only puts you slightly behind 4th in the table today. 6 points in the season before Benitez took over for us would mean CL football. He only really had 2 bad results. They also had a spirited victory over Arsenal and progressed in the Champions League. 2 years down the line.. the juries still out on Rafa really. Oh yeah.. if Sam won the FA Cup with us, we'd give him a looooong time to get it right.

And that second bit was probably true after Allardyce's first 5 Prem games 2W, 2D, 1L... which was the best start we'd had to a season for over 5 years. Sort it out, man. After the next 10 games we've been left thinking "what the fuck is HE thinking?".

When did they take over Pompey and Blackburn? Hughes was appointed after the transfer window had closed. Blackburn were lying in the relegation zone when he took over. Harry had about half of his original team at Pompey and took over around Novemberish with his team also in a relegation battle. Sam had a summer to buy his own players, they didn't. Has Hughes spent £25million in his whole time at Blackburn? You're quick to forget just how f****** rotten this club was before Allardyce/Mort/Ashley, which is really disappointing. I'd bet that Allardyce has had to do a hell of a lot more in his brief time here than either Redknapp or Hughes at their respective clubs because of how far behind everything else we were when he took over. Erm... Hughes & Redknapp took over their teams whilst they were within the bottom 3 and the transfer window was closed. Whilst Redknapp had a take-over to look forward to Hughes had no real funds and a pretty shit team. He got them dirty and hard-to-beat. They never had a summer and £25million. I'd say Mort & Ashley taking over has come to the detriment of Big Sam.

Two things you can expect from Keane each match. 1) He will appeal for a penalty 2) His face will look like this " " at some point in the match. Two things you can expect from Duff each match. 1) He will appeal for a penalty 2) His face will look like this " " at some point in the match. lol it's true.

Maik Taylors Save Off Gareth Bales Free Kick
The College Dropout replied to Crumpy Gunt's topic in Football
And your opinion is? Do you agree that Given was very slow off the mark - he only took a small side step. Taylor chased a ball bending away from him and made the ground. Same with the Gerrard goal. Jussi made a save last week from (can't remember) hit in the same place at similar pace. Given never takes the first sideways step quick enough and like Robinson has developed the bad habit of just jumping sideways instead of up. He never looks tall enough to me. Cue someone coming in and saying "Given is 6"1" He looks short. -

Bojinov wasn't peanuts either. Played what 1 game? then got TKO'd
-
True. I thought Sven would be defensively focused. I'm also impressed with how City play the ball from the back and pass it around comfortably.

Champions League final during the day? Fuck off. Part of the magic is playing it on a Wednesday night. Champions league music + daylight = unholy

The Times today speculated that the players have turned on Allardyce
The College Dropout replied to KaKa's topic in Football
Hughes and Moyes immediately took their teams forward. Moyes had a couple yoyo years but he showed where he could take them. Hughes took a team of relegation battlers to a team fighting for europe. The team immediately looked better than what Souness had been offering for 16 odd months. We have decent enough players to play with a degree of competence. No shots on target ffs... looking like we could get beat 6 or 7 nil isn't acceptable at any period. you could argue that we have been taken forward, as we are further on than last year, and he hasnt exactly spent much money has he? £25m. -
Gay.

You have to earn the patience and understanding of the supporters. Sam hasn't done that. When you are as blatantly clueless as Big Sam is showing you deserve nothing. I disagree but respect your opinion. Do you believe every manager appointed by our club should be given 2-3 years to get it right? Do you believe Sam should get 2-3 years to get it right no matter what? If you do, tell me why you believe this.
