Guess we’ve said the same thing with slightly different numbers The Hall thing does show a lot of fans are idiotic. I remember some ppl thinking and hoping the obligation to buy wouldn’t be activated somehow. When it was fairly obvious it was just Howe being Howe. I do think Eddie is doing a similar thing with Elanga in that he’s going to be focussing his coaching with Elanga on understanding how we play, the intensity etc. Ive no issue with him today. But generally he’s not been good off the ball in any case.

Not really the same thing. Lewis Hall was 19 when he joined with a grand total of 12 professional games played. Evidently he would need time to develop as a fullback (most of the clips of him in the comps was in the youth sides playing CM), develop physically and mentally. Elanga has 150+ senior appearances and is a full international. It’s not to say Elanga isn’t going to need time. That is evident. But he doesn’t have similar challenges to Hall due to age and experience. The concerns with Elanga are a lot more valid than whatever people were saying about Hall.

More than anything Sandro wasn’t settled into the division. They switched a bit anyway but now being able to play either in there works well

Think he’s underrated by some now. One of our very best players ever just put on another masterclass. We’ll miss him when he’s gone.
-
Not helped with how Howe is using him off the bench.

Some excellent deliveries today. If it was Saka or Grealish delivering those the pundits would purr time and again. He’s got real quality in that right foot. It’s going to take some player to improve on him all things considered.
-
Better movement today which is the main thing I want to see him improve with for now. The second is more conviction when striking the ball. The technique is good enough but doesn’t have that snap. Think he will develop tremendously well.

Brings a level of football to the team

Aye. And the competition has been fierce. He’s immense.

This is the difference between a proper finisher like Barnes and someone like Gordon. Because Barnes has really good shooting technique - when he shapes to shoot you can almost see him calm down, inhale and exhale and just focus on executing the technique smoothly. Because he knows if he does that properly, he scores. Gordon doesn’t have that fundamental technique, coordination and therefore doesn’t have that composure to consistently execute.

20 games. 0 goals. 0 assists. 2 red cards. More productive players wil have pundits constantly crying about end product like a Doku got example.
-
He’s always produced when given a run of games. He’s the best finisher at the club (or fit) and he has to start. Unlucky to lose his shirt in the first place.

From what I gather these rules are a little kinder but have less obvious loopholes. Big thing is no punishing for year 1. -
There's a vast difference in the lineage of people from Curacao - mostly descendants of enslaved people brought to that island 500-600 years ago by the Dutch. In the last 50 years, some have moved to Netherlands. It's not really the same as Higginbotham playing for Gibraltar is it?
-
People basically moaning that England are too good.
-
That's a weird comparison to make. Most of the Curacao players are descended from people born and raised in Curacao. Coming from enslaved people brought by the Dutch 500 odd years ago. What's that got to do with the Haalands? Curacao is more similar to Wales as it's part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. If Wales and Scotland are allowed to be independent nations in football then I think it's fine for Curacao.

So what?

I thought it was a move to playing 2 upfront or like a 1-1. Neither Cunha or Pedro are proper 9s imo.
