  1. Under Carlo? When? Aye coz Real Madrid never do that do they? Not the set piece part , no. They do though. They love a little dive outside the box so Bale and Ronaldo can bomb them.
  2. Real not going to win this without changing their approach.
  3. He makes the team tick even if he's not personally having a good game. He's light years ahead of whoever has played in his place. Think Madrid rarely lost with Alonso in the side. He was brilliant in the semi - but you knew that. Alonso has had an abysmal season tbf, not sure it would've made much of a difference. (didn't watch the Bayern tie, but he hasn't been good in the league this season)
  4. And might as well go for short corners. I know Illaramendi's hasn't set the world alight at Real but they need someone better on the ball in CM. Would be brave to throw on Isco for Khedira who is just not match ready
  5. They need to knock off those deep crosses
  6. Him or Malky Mackay. Wouldn't surprise me if Moyes took the Celtic job for a few years while his reputation in England is toxic. Win a few mickey mouse trophies, have a crack at getting out of the CL groups each season and then come back to the Prem with his CV looking better. his reputation isn't toxic like. Should be able to land a decent job i the PL.
  7. He was as shit as Shola last season. Thats it. It's unacceptable.
  8. Cisse was no 'system player' when he joined. He wasn't relying on brilliant service either. We played 4-4-2 loads and he scored goals. It was 7 games last season when he was moved to RW. He didn't manage a goal prior up front. What's his excuse for having the same amount of league goals as Shola Ameobi?
  9. Laughable post. He played & scored in a 4-4-2 at least 5 times when he first came. Including his debut and the Chelsea game. He played up top by himself maybe 7 games total. That's double the amount of games he played on the wing at least. The only NUFC player in the first team who hasn't been in decent form for 2 years for any period of time.
  10. Scored the same number of league goals as Shola Ameobi last season. By any metric of a PL striker, he has got to take the blame for the shiteness. He's had 2 good seasons in top divisions in his life.
  11. Missing Modric at the least.
  12. Rumours he's willing to take a pay-cut to join Barcelona. He was loathe to leave and only accepted after a mega-bucks contract.
  13. Ivanovic would be our star CB.
  14. Not sure about Pocchetino's ability to get results. With the team & investment S'hampton have (& the playing style) they should've been way clear of us in the league. They basically resigned from the cups like us.
  15. Sagna's crossing has come on leaps an bounds. Debuchy makes better runs however (off the ball).
  16. Think he will, this time. The Ozil signing sent showed the calibre of player they're now after/can compete for and I fancy them to get another 1 or 2 of that level, over the summer. If they get a better starting striker in and someone who can take a grip of the midfield more in the bigger games then I fancy them to do really push for the league next year. They're already weaker now that Sagna has pretty much done one. Blessing in disguise. Their joint weakest position at the top level. Jenkinson is fine as a replacement RB, and this could give them a good kick so they can get Debuchy. Jenkinson's not a CL level fullback.
  17. That's why I said 10m but at the end of the day.. it's "only" £10m for one of our best and most consistent players. We would be lucky to find anyone anywhere near as good.
  18. How much would we get for him? £10m? Pretty crap considering he's a top player.
  19. The Emirates is always full isn't it? Arsenal have won cups in every decade for the last 40 years. They have been a big club. The West Ham comment is ludicrous.
  20. Apart from Costa I don't think many will move. It's mostly Europa League type journeymen in the side. I expect Koke to stay for at least another season. Luis - perhaps. I expect Courtois to sign permanently.
  21. Think it's just the Arsenal fans and their terribly long wait for a trophy. It's awkward for us - most of us have never seen us win a trophy. Isn't it all relative? I can certainly see why fans would be getting annoyed. They have a right to be frustrated at a lack of success. Exactly - you could say we should be used to it... and we are. But we would still like to try. Arsenal fans had a great 90's and early 00's. In fact they've won cups and been competitive for a very long time domestically.
  22. Who knew? Professional footballers want to win cups.
