The Life and Times of 'Entertaining' Mario Balotelli
The College Dropout replied to Ketsbaia's topic in Football
Load of tosh. RVP's injuries held him back. For a player of his quality Arsenal is amongst the bet clubs o be at as a youngster. Certainly a better environment than Inter or City. Mario has achieved far more than RVP at 22. Has more to his game at 22. More goals. More responsibility. RVP's movement had always been better, partly because he's spent a fair bu of his career as a #10. Mario's the more natural finisher. -
I agree with that Neil, Pardew is similar. Hughton's tightened up his approach at Norwich but under him we could really slap teams. Push it to 3 or 4 goals to nil. Moyes is a good manager but I think he's close to hitting his ceiling.
-
Spurs along with the Benfica, Zenit types are teh favourites imo.
-
More certain Reading than QPR. Reading lack quality. QPR lack heart. Effort is easier to find than skill.
-
QPR willl go on a charge at some point imo. Could just be a 4 game 7 point charge but that would put them in business. Any team on 29/30 points will feel safe atm. Norwich looked like they could slip back into it but started picking up draws and just got a win.
-
Their fixture list is rather nasty. Certain they won't go down. Both Wigan and Villa need 7 more points than Wham over 11 games. Don't see them both doing it.
-
Too early. This team has never played a ful xi

Don't know about AVB being fantastic but he's done well to get the best out of Bale, which 'Arry was doing already by making him switch his game up. But yes, he's injury free playing in a side where he's the focal. I think Hatem might deserve that freedom once he gets into his stride.
-
Everyone on 29/30 is more or less save. Need 7/8 points in 11 games to guarantee safety. Will be done. Wham won't get relegated unless they go on a horrible run of form.
-
Relax. For 25% of the season (first ten games), it was between him and van Persie for the best player. People forget this because we've been so s*** lately but we only lost to Chelsea and Man Utd early on. Our start was decent, even with the injuries and poor performances and that was pretty much solely down to Ben Arfa. Aye that Demba Ba was doing nothing like. HBA was good. He hasn't hit the heights of RVP, Bale, Suarez etc.

Nani doesn't seem to be in SAF's first team. When talking attacking players that aren't strikers. It's Mata, Bale, Fellaini, Cazorla, Michu. In the slightly lower performing bracket it's Hazard, Walcott, Lennon, Silva based on this season. HBA hasn't played enough or scored/assisted enough to belong in that top bracket, arguably hasn't played enough to be in that second category. At the moment, he's Bryan Ruiz, Nasri status due to the injuries. Stop, start, season. Hasn't "grown" much at this point this season. Still there's loads of games left. Bryan Ruiz??? Injuries or not, HBA has produced considerably more than him. Ask fans of ANY opposition club who they rate higher.. Obviously, HBA is better. Both are talented players for me, whose seasons have been severely limited to injuries while I think both of their stocks would have dramatically increased if not for injuries. Would Nasri sound better to you? Point being, HBA hasn't taken his game or career much further this season. Where as Bale, Cazorla, Mata, Fellaini etc. look to be fulfilling their potential.
-
We are largely a stand-off and retain shape team when not in possession. Which results in looking sluggish at re-starts and KO. We should come out all guns blazing, high pressing for 5-10 minutes then back off intio our natural shape.

That's the worry. Also I think Ben Arfa is somewhat overrated on here. He has a lot to prove (mainly consistency) before he can genuinely be called one of the best players in the Premiership in my humble opinion, yet going of here some people seem to think he's there already. Agreed.

I'm delighted with Hatem. Bale's been the best player in the PL since the turn of the year. Right now, i'd rather we forget the lofty comparisons. Bale is doing it right now week in, week out. 15 league goals. Staying injury-free. Let's just get Hatem playing regularly. Spurs have really looked to make Bale THAT guy and I wish we would give Hatem that space. At the moment Sis doesn't have to spend loads of time chasing back, neither does Bale wherever he plays. Hatem should get that freedom for two reasons. 1. The lad is injury prone. All that running isn't good for him. RVP's injuries subsided as he changed his game to do less running. 2. He's special. A match-winner. Needs to conserve his energy to be able to do what Bale did in the 93rd minute.

Bale's taken it to another level.

Wham terrible at defending set pieces.

Anyone who's actually kicked a football before would agree. Fuck off. First time volley is almost always >>>> *

Ba's movement is superb, for a #9. Gouffran is a second striker/inside forward so it suits our team much better. He, Cisse and Siss start from different areas and naturally make different runs. I hope Cisse can regularly find the back of the net. -
Nail your colours to the mast - where will we finish?

Two of our better players are ineligible for the Europa which will make us stronger in the league. We should really attack the Europa. I said 7th at the start. Would take 14th and a real go at the Europa. -
Europa League 2012/13 - Benfica 1 - 2 Chelsea

AVB will take it very seriously. -
Would prefer he go to a team where he would start. Will he start for VBoro?
-
I thought Wigan would instead of QPR. Atm, i'm delighted to be proven wrong.
