  1. Just seen the Wilson goal. Le sigh. He’s a proper bagsman. The movement sheesh.
  2. Kerkez been a weak Link every game I’ve seen from him
  3. The more I watch and read about him the happier I am we have him. We desperately need someone in attacking areas in the centre of the pitch that wants to get on the ball and play through the heart of a defence.
  4. Not specifically you as you do it for fun. someone in another thread was annoyed by ‘double pivot’.
  5. What’s people issue with new football terms?
  6. What’s people issue with new football terms?
  7. He’s not going to sit it out. Thats career suicide.
  8. No idea. We will not know our true PSR position until the end of the season. Gates and prize money can fluctuate £50m+ depending on performances. what I do know is the PSR deadline is next June - so we don’t NEED to sell anyone now.
  9. We don’t have to sell the other guy though. Especially below asking price and then above asking price for his replacement.
  10. I don’t think Isak is lying. I think Staveley said he would get a contract and he let it be known he wanted to leave. But staveley has long left and he has a contract where nobody at the club agreed he would leave.
  11. It wouldn’t supersede a signed CL text in most cases. Small amends within a provision of a contract can take written confirmation but most will need a written and signed amended contract or a new one.
  12. Aye we don’t know alll the facts and I hate the statement. But it seems as if Staveley made a verbal promise about a contract and she’s left. Isak has then said sometime later he wants to leave. It seems as if current Brentford ppl said Wissa could leave with a fair offer in some type of writing. If that is true. That’s a world of difference. and I’ve seen Wissa in training with the Brentford squad. Alex is refusing to train. If the above is true. It’s similar but not the same. Both should hand in transfer requests.
  13. People's main frustration with Elanga will be that he's more Murphy or a actually a Gordon than Isak, Tonali or Bruno. A player with some great attributes but not a great player. And it's tha technical gap. Solid technically but a level below the elite. Like at his best Marcus Rashford is too good on the dribble and strikes a ball too cleanly. Same story for Isak. Gordon doesn't have that top ceiling ability and neither does Elanga. What you would hope they both have is a higher floor. Greater work rate and mentality. Yesterday the formation I think threw everyone off and we never recovered. Tino was the only player going forward that looked good imo
  14. Having it in an email and objective does mean something tbh. It's not in the contract but it counts for something imo. It's an official agreement, although not legally binding. Footballers need better agents.
  15. I don't know how many posts I have on here - must be close to 50k. I don't review and read, I type and press send
  16. All of these are still limited. Maube emove Burn but the other two it's true. As great as they've been what has really got us 5th and a trophy last season is that gold-dust of Tonali, Bruno & Isak. We are likely to lose one of our gold players, hopefully Nick is another one but that's the level we need to really push us on. The Howe premium on middling talents is great but will only take us so far. We need another gold standard player imo.
  17. The assurances in writing seem to be "a reasonable offer" which is subjective.
  18. Don't like the statement. It's more transparent than Isak's but he should know as a fanbase we wouldn't like it after what Isak has done. Train, get your head down and play for Brentford. If you want to leave put in a transfer request from there we know your intentions and you've put skin in the game financially too. My sympathies with Wissa are purely financial. He's likely not "retire forever" rich and a move to us would guarantee him that for himself and his family. Having a contract with Brentford that takes him to 31 - most likely on £30k or less, is his own doing.
  19. I’m expecting an earlier subs in the main. Arteta had this concept of starters and finishers which I think makes sense. A lot of players getting 55-70 minutes and others getting 35-20 minutes. With the odd rotation.
  20. Funnily enough Guehi doesn’t seem a Howe type player other than the PL experience. His main strengths are technical and mental. He doesn’t seem to prioritise those attributes going forward. saying that we ended up with a very Howe player in Thiaw.
  21. And even his stamina and durability is amazing. Ran the furthest in the league 2 years in a row. It’s Trippier, Hall and Schar that really don’t have any standout physical attributes. 1 was inherited. Another was just levels above as a player when he joined and then there’s Hall who I genuinely don’t think was Eddie’s first choice but convinced Eddie through ability and becoming a much more aggressive player.
  22. I’d rather keep him against his will than sign those lands for £60m+. Wor lad will need to knuckle down and play.
  23. Needed to clock he was being targeted earlier and switch the plan. Longstaff had his number for an hour. When we switched formations he was a lot quicker on the ball. When that happens and he’s targeted the opposition will foul him, there he needs to get those players booked and play act.
  24. I’ve been desperate for him to go on loan for his own development.
