  1. Aye you make a good point. Howe doesn’t have much faith in 433 without Big Joe these days
  2. Yeh if you concede early in the second half it’s fine.
  3. He’s not ready for a key role in the squad. The 2 CMs infront of him are too injury prone imo.
  4. Longstaff and Leeds have done a job on Bruno G. They know he wants a touch and to hold it and they’ve nicked it off him loads.
  5. It's about break even on PSR is it not? He's been there 3 years of what a 4 or 5 year deal?
  6. Ashworth had a succession plan that involved selling atleast one of Bruno or Joelinton last summer. We don’t qualify for the CL or win the league cup without either tbf. Our squad is so small we don’t have the luxury of loaning out good youngsters or buybacks. If we can loan you out and you do well - we can probably sell you. Anderson and Minteh will end up looking like bargains. Anderson already is.
  7. Probably on a low salary though. He’s already due a payrise with this call up. Type of player Forest would sell for 50-60m in a year or two though. Vlad has paid for him for 3 years as it is and some.
  8. I would love us to hold firm and keep him just for the message it sends out. But we’ll sell him. I just hope we stick to our fee. Lowkey Liverpool are desperate for bodies. Elliot and the Rio lad are their backup attackers.
  9. It’s just that he’s not involved much in build up. Evidently he’s busy getting himself in the box. He’s often a sub right? So that might skew his numbers. Especially for a team that might defend leads without the ball. None of our midfielders rank high for passes attempted or pass completion because we are a direct side. I personally think our style struggles to scale and this would be a tripling down of that style by the looks of it. As a side we don’t have - do they call it pausa in Spain? Liverpool were great at it against us and I think that’s a strength they’ve developed under Slot.
  10. Yeh if anything I would want to see more tap ins This was my thing with Son. He was such a great finisher, he was rarely there for tap ins. When he lost his pace the goals dried up. Nithing to do with Wor Wolte though.
  11. He wasn’t. People like to revise Isak’s history a bit. Isak was a genuine wonderkid. He tore up the Swedish league and Eredivisie at a young age. Better than 1 in 2 record in both leagues as a teenager. He struggled at Dortmund. Was ok first season in La Liga, then went 1 in 2 for the second year then didn’t get the goals in his 3rd year. He had 3-4 really solid seasons in men’s football (for his age) by the age of 22. He was 20/21 when he scored 16 la liga goals. He was 19/20 when he scored 13 in 16 or something in the Eredivisie. You would hope that lad would go onto become a serious goalscorer in a top league.
  12. Yeh that’s the issue. The old rules meant Owners just focussed on growing a club are prevented. Most wealthy business owners have shareholders they are beholden too so they can’t pay incredibly over the odds for club sponsorships. I have less of an issue with the APT rules than the general PSR/FFP rules. I don’t like the idea of state owned clubs steamrolling rules through inflated APT deals. While clubs like Villa are blocked. I have a much more fundamental problem with the rules that prevent any challengers. If an Owner can do significant APT deals, with a bit of effort they can do other workarounds. Ours just don’t want to do that.
  13. Aye but that's not really possible for most challengers like Forest, Everton or Villa. That particular rule is for us specifically - aye. The fundamental issue with FFP is it stops those clubs. Because of the wealth of our Owners, if they really wanted too - they could circumvent FFP/PSR - i've said this loads and it's true. Football is a dodgy sport man. There's multi-club we could use. Forest are doing fishy things with Lyon last season and that Brazilian side this season (that might be multi-club). Do 100 small sponsorships.
  14. There is fundamental issues with it. A lot of successful businesses make substantial losses during a growth phase. Losses aren’t an issue imo. It’s the ability of owners to afford the losses and endangering clubs survival. Clubs still make substantial losses. We will make substantial losses because of infrastructure projects. So yes fundamentally there is a problem with FFP and PSR. Previously I just didn’t care because it didn’t impact us. We weren’t going to spend the limit anyway.
  15. Tbf at the time did we care? I didn’t. trump ans Brexit are an entirely different kettle imo.
  16. Most people thought it was a good idea at the time, even most of us. If FFP allowances had grown with normal inflation, not even football inflation, it wouldn't even be THAT bad.
  17. You could tell Nicholas Anelka didn't fancy it in that CL final. And he was what.... 7th?
  18. It takes a lot for us to go the euro route. Unless it’s Thisw who we loved.
  19. Only shopping in the PL market is a choice and bad one imo. there's going to be a striker/attacker new to the league who will score 12 or so goals and become "proven PL striker" for half the money we spend on Larsen. It is what it is. Just wish we were a bit braver in the transfer market.
