  1. I assume we have the other roles lined up but can't announce yet
  2. I'm less concerned with titles. I can't find what Ratcliffe's title is. I know he is a significant shareholder but obviously not a controlling one. But from a football perspective- it's his club. It's typically someone with real equity who is the key person. It's not and has never been Eales, I'm confident to say that much.
  3. It wasn't close though. It was 14 points. Which is why they threw in the towel completely; there was no danger of relegation at any point.
  4. I disagree. The approach is on Yasir (I assume). Spurs wanted a stadium sponsor. It's Levy that wants a certain number as a minimum and doesn't want to reduce the potential value by taking an inferior option. That's on Levy, he has agreed/decided that approach. NUFC has never been Eales club. He doesn't set the direction or strategy - he executes it. I *think* the club is Yasir's but it's not his priority. Which might be why things haven't moved with urgency.
  5. Ok that might be a lie. I know Brighton, Brentford, Villa, Palace, West Ham, Burnley and maybe a few others. But top 6 I know except City.
  6. PIF will ultimately set the boundaries of what the executive team will do. I've said it before - I'm unsure whose club we are really. Under Staveley, PIF-financed had that same vision, but it was really Staveley's club, in my opinion. Man U on the football side - it's that old Sir bloke. Spurs its Levy. That is his club he makes the big calls. Boehly at Chelsea. Roman before him and he had a good team around him, it was still Abrabmovic's club. The last goes on. It's a little less public knowledge who runs the City ship. Maybe that's how we will run. Whose behind the multi-club ownership? Whose idea was it to bring in all the ex-Barca people? All the other big 6 teams and most of the other PL clubs, I could tell you whose club it really is each time.
  7. Agreed can't be ideal. 2 weeks holiday max, I assume? Young squad mind
  8. The core of that side might get tired. Palmer, fernandez, Caicedo maybe a few others, Colwil, Cucurella. But like Nkunku and Tosin started regularly - I swear neither started more than 6 league games last season.
  9. Nah Minteh would’ve stayed if he wasn’t sold.
  10. Issa forum. And it’s their thread. I get it with players. They are young men. I don’t get the protectiveness over PIF. And almost everyone has said they have done a great job to date. But someone could say ‘man we could’ve got Longstaff money over these last few years with these extra sponsorships at approved levels’ and someone will respond ‘do you want Ashley back?!’ Ok not that far but it’s that attitude. Also post Staveley it’s hard to judge the performance. All the major deals and squad building and existing management infrastructure was Staveley-led. A year post Staveley we’ve signed a duff DOF, looking for a CEO for 10 months and only just started squad building again. Big talk from Yasir but no concrete information on stadium and training ground.
  11. Great post. I then don't understand why you seem so annoyed when people talk about those things or how the club expects to get there.
  12. Also scored a lot less goals. For some reason I assumed Van Bommel (the father) was a baller as a kid. Think he was ace on Champ Man and played for big clubs. He was a horse.
  13. A Newcastle United fan not a PIF fan.
  14. Unbelievable is a ‘PIF are doing everything 10/10’ guy. No point in discussion.
  15. We’ll have to see what the squad looks like at the end of the summer before coming to any conclusions about what we can and can’t afford. Next June actually.
  16. If this has any legs then I think it adds to the idea that we might play with 2 proper forwards.
  17. Tbf the primary owner of Leicester died in tragic circumstance before shit hit the fan. With him they won the premier league 5 years after he bought the club in the championship. With a club with far less potential. Renovated the stadium within 5 years too I think.
  18. You’ve made some good points over not previously considered.
  19. And this was a squad that was small and tired towards the end of the season. If a team plays 433 they need 4-5 trustworthy CMs, 5 attackers imo.
  20. It’s an awful decision. UEFA wouldn’t do it to a ‘bigger’ club.
