We’ve been as bad as I’ve seen us under Eddie. Not having any striker really affected us from the start. -

And only 3 of them capped right? Hall, Lascelles, Livramento, Willock and Longstaff huge night for them. -
Aye. The City Group have an overall strategy with Man City sitting atop. City Group signed Douglas Luiz for Man City. Loaned him to their other club Girona for 2 seasons. Then sold to Villa for a profit. City get all the FFP advantages and he only ever played for their other club.

There’s no morel victory in this game for me. There’s always been rich owners that pump money into clubs. We just have the richest ones. When we win trophies they’ll say we bought it. So I want us to win anyway we can. This is a minor. But I look forward to the day the club properly take on the PL via the courts.
-
You did and looks like you were right. I think Dan Ashworth interview didn’t help. Should’ve lied. Dan’s no dummy though so I suspect it was to purposely mislead the PL and the media.

Intent doesn’t matter if the tackle is dangerous.
-
It’s simply not the aim for me. I’m thinking about top 2. If we don’t get it I’ll be disappointed. 3rd is cool if we get it but I don’t care much if we don’t. there’s advantages to finishing 4th. If we have a mostly fit squad and no European football from Jan - May we have a fantastic chance of getting back into the top 4-5 this season.

They pressed way better than us both games. They looked better physically and sharper technically. Apart from PSG we’ve not pressed well at all in the other 3 CL games and we could’ve picked up less than the 1 point we have.

Offer was too good to turn down for FFP. He would just be a body.
-
Aye him. Christensen. Colwil and Guehi at CB.
-
You’ve read the transfer wrong @ToonScotman . Because of his contract situ at West Ham we’ve thought we can get him for free/cheap and flip him in a couple years for a profit. You could tell from his limited experience that he wasn’t capable of being backup for Tripps this season. Livramento is/was a legitimate wonder kid pre-ACL. Tino is a year younger and much more experienced because he’s a much greater talent.
-
Came from Chelsea’s academy. They’ve had Reece James, Tino, Lamptey. Sure I’m missing one.
-
I don’t think today was typical of Trippier at LB or RB. He’s played much better at LB previously. For me he was poor in both positions today. All we achieved by moving Tino to LB was defending the flank better and limiting our play going forward from the back. Our only pieces of offensive quality came from Tino at RB - the low drilled ball and the Joelinton chance (and his clever shot at LB tbf). I suspect actually they wil rotate again mid match as has happened in the last 2 games.
-
Not for me. That was Tino. Bruno was solid. At his best he controls a game and that wasn’t going to happen tonight. But he did his thing.
-
Would rather he starts at RB. Trips is tired. Let him sit at LB and focus on distribution. Let Tino bomb on forward on the right.
-
Southgate doesn’t care about us. We need to pull him out / tell him to feign an injury.
-
When he plays as bad as this we should give him a rest for 20 minutes.
-
Our best player tonight. Looked good in both fullback position. Attacking and defensive.

They’ve had the edge on us again in all departments. with our thin squad we needed to be at least level at the hour mark. After that their squad depth helped them ease over the line. -
I do think we need another top class CB because the best teams have 3 and then a solid backup. We have 2 and a solid backup. But it’s not the highest priority position. I hope this is the season Schar gets his credit

Massive opp for the young boys….. and Dummett

I’m not stressed. I said similar ages ago. It is what it is. He’s legitimately a bit of a dirty player but he hasn’t picked up the rep and has gotten away with it for some time. I’m happy he continues to get away with it. But if he keeps it up, he will get a rep and his red cards and subsequent suspensions will be hard earned and well deserved.
