If they are found guilty of breaking financial rules over several seasons - intentionally. It’s automatic relegation next season and some. I don’t think they will on appeal though. A lack of evidence is not evidence of absence and all that. That won’t survive the highest courts this will be taken too.

Not for me. They had the better of those last 10 minutes before the goal.

This part has seemingly disappeared from Big Joe’s game. Unless we have big concerns about injuries he’s the wrong profile to sell. You sell lads that are 28+. Joelinton might take the Saudi money.

Thought we were poor from everything I saw in the first half. Understanding I missed the best part.

A bit annoyed that he never got that loan I felt he always needed with us to a bottom half PL team or top Champo team. I never thought he would be a regular for us. But he never got the chance to really develop with us. If he stays fit and gets regular minutes we’ll see the best of him. I always felt he was a half a yard off it physically but he’s at the age now to sharpen that up. -
I missed the first 15-20. Wolves looked the better side from what I saw. We were sloppy.

I think he’s very tidy on the ball but it’s more the quick feet and ability to make a short pass, than proper progressive Trippier passing. I don’t know what the purpose of him inverting was. To stop counters? If anyone should invert its Hall and to use it for him to help us progress and playmake. He’s a better defender than Tripps for sure. For now it should be horses for courses for them both. I do prefer Libra to start because he’s that bit more solid defensively.

Agree on this but we haven’t replaced it with anything coherent.

Great goal. He has to start imo and he has to start on the left. I mentioned before he has certain ‘spots’ and he can’t get to them from the right.

Performances last season were up and down. But I’m just talking about this season. Im not certain that we are trying to change style. We are setup in almost the exact same way - at least personnel and formation. In 2024 PL you’re not going to control games in possession with the likes of Murphy, Longstaff, Pope, Burn & Joelinton. That’s half the side. But you can control games physically if they are at their best and we are aggressive. To control more games with possession we need to start at least 2 of Willock, Tonali, Trippier and Barnes

We don’t play like a top side. I see al the plaudits Emery gets and way more than Howe gets. I feel it’s unfair. They don’t talk about the money spent either. But while Villa haven’t been convincing. They do exert a level of control over games like a top side. They zip it about nicely. We don’t. I’m not even sure what we are trying to do. Imagine when we click though?

There’s not enough football ability between Longstaff Bruno Joelinton. I don’t think there’s enough athleticism between them either at this point.

Big year of development for the lad. Im just glad he’s starting and getting good minutes. He needs to play to develop. And yeh he has a lot to learn. Just turned 20.

The start was very much like this. Started well points wise but were fortunate in a few games and won with worldies.
-
He’s a better footballer than Big Joe. The most impressive CM today. Wouldn’t start him next game though. Let’s take it easy.

Broken nose?

This season is a bit Pardew 5th finish so far.

We’ve lost so many duels in the games I’ve seen this season. Either physically or mentally the boys aren’t at it and that’s on Eddie.

Great goalscorer. Not prolific enough to warrant the hype considering the limitations of the rest of his game. He had the best team in the country built around him and they won 1 PL in 5 years. Levels below Henry. At least a level below Kane. Not as prolific as Aguero. Nowhere near as prolific Haaland. RVN not on their level. His open play strike rate is about identical to Andy Cole when you bring in his time at Newcastle. They are in the same bracket. —— My boy Isak has not been good.
-
Henry scored more non penalty goals. In the one season RVN outscored Henry 25 to 24, RVN took and scored 8 penalties compared to Henry taking and scoring 3. Henry was a better goalscorer than RVN and a much much better player. Cole’s all round game was better than RVNs. He was a better team player and forged great partnerships. RVN the most over rated player of the PL era.

Never thought he was elite.

I remember people saying Jhon Duran was shit. 19/20 playing in a new continent - along with all the spoils. Boys got talent.
