  1. Kane and Sterling robbed for Young Player Award imo.
  2. Sack Pardew 5 games earlier and WBA stay up. The lads are playing for Moore.
  3. Van Dijk's been worth every penny hasn't he? The Ox looks a proper player now too
  4. Nothing influences a football game more than goals. Salah scores the first Liverpool goals in the CL QF. 1 start the hammering. The second to essentially kill the game. His influence was decisive. 6 weeks ago I would agree KDB > Salah this season. But KDB’s level has dropped a bit whole if anything Salah has gotten better. He’s the undeniable player of the season imo. More than the number of goals. Ronaldo’s ability to score in big moments has taken him to another level of greatness.
  5. Joint third with Cole, who got the same amount in a season and a half. Just the 15 years for Wor Shola. Love him.
  6. Outside the top 6 sides. There will be some decidedly odd names in most teams top 5 goalscorers in the PL.. a lot will have less than 50 goals too.
  7. I think Shola is our third highest PL goalscorer tbf.
  8. It was common belief 4 moths ago that he was a 60 minute player at best. Now I’m the 90th minute he’s still going strong. Absolutely tremendous at sniffing out trouble. Intercepting. That last one, saw the attacker run and just picked it up - got in his way and makes sure it runs out. Whole crowd applauds.
  9. Needs to keep his hands down. Otherwise thought he was supreme.
  10. Like the look of him a lot. Strength, a bit of pace, strong header
  11. Shelvey clipping balls through to Raheeem....
  12. He's a daft cunt. I wish Spurs or Chelsea would buy him and just leave him on the bench until he disappears. You want a talented and entertaining footballer to waste his career. You’re a weird man.
  13. Sterling's movement and pace is unreal.
  14. Should only use it for facts. Clearly offside. Inside or outside box. Fouls are subjective.
  15. It's wild to say Ronaldo isn't the most important Real player but aye - Ramos is important too. Mostly because the club didn't retain Pepe.
  16. That penalty.... "I'm going to stick it hard and right into the top corner and you lot can fuck off back to Turin."
  17. Agreed. Although if they face Real or Bayern in the final they will lose. Klopp loses finals and Real in particular win CL finals. I just think they'll do the business enough at home to Roma or Real. Bayern might be organised enough to stop them. On a larger pitch in the final, (I'd assume), and without the home advantage I'd fancy them to narrowly lose as they won't have quite as much edge about them, defensively more than anything. Liverpool are very much a cup style side, with an outrageously good and fluid attack. However, they tend to press relentlessly and a top side on a largepitch would see them undone in a one off game I think. He's bound to win one again but I find Klopp's 5 final loss streak very interesting. I think the way his teams play, in a final with the nerves, they become inhibited and can't play to their usual level as his game is so physically demanding and also finals come at the end of the season when physical levels are in decline. I also think he's more coach than tactician, his teams play one way more often than not. Although i've only ever seen 2 of his finals. 1 the better team won (Bayern). 2 the more experienced European side won. Both games after half-time they were both abject. I read this article about top managers in finals. RAFA has a tremendous record. Not only is he usually calm, he's a great tactician. As we've seen he manages fitness levels superbly throughout the season and rotates. Mourinho - great record. If his teams find their mettle they tend to be unstoppable in finals. Ruthless like the man. Ancelotti has a great record. The only final he lost was Istanbul.... and obviously his team should've won that too. His swagger, his calm, must be infectious. He won the CL a few times as a player, everything about him is been there done that. Zidane has never a lost a final as a manager iirc. Again, this is a man who has been there and done it.. left foot volley to win a CL final not even the highlight of his career ffs. I've probably cursed it for a Liverpool win haven't I? Think the last CL final defeat Real had was to Liverpool too.
  18. Think City have paid for playing Aguero, KDB into the ground.
  19. Agreed. Although if they face Real or Bayern in the final they will lose. Klopp loses finals and Real in particular win CL finals.
  20. If Liverpool face Real in the semi's I reckon they win. If Real get to the final, it's a historic 3-Peat. Juve will take hope from tonight mind. Although they'll need 4.
  21. Looked a total penalty to me tbf. I don’t know what he’s doing getting beat by Shinji I’m the air either. But anyway - always had time for Paully D and glad he’s getting his credit st last.
