  1. Just booked flight and hotel for semi-finals. Better not be disappointed and get a Colombia v France or something.
  2. You expect owt else from that horrible cheat? 16 years ago. Let it go guys.
  3. Not at all. He passed it his way. You're missing the whole point. Like the power matters? He clearly did it to provoke a reaction from a team that were gutted and had just lost the biggest final in club history. How did he clearly do that? We have nothing to gauge that other than Simeone's reaction, where he went radge. It's a nothing incident, Simeone just lost his s***. You think Simeone who was applauding his team despite having lost was ready to just lose it out of nowhere? Right. Still beating yourself up about the 1998 incident aren't you?
  4. I might just be missing the point here but don't see why it was that bad? Stand to be corrected. The way I saw it, there was an additional ball on the pitch for some reason and he kicked it towards the bench. What's the big deal? The fact he kicked it towards Simeone, actually right at him when he had about 500 other places to put it. Why didn't he just 'pass' it to Carlo instead or the Real bench? Really, that's it? OK. Reckon Simeone should have perhaps controlled himself in that case. Controlled himself, should've ripped his face apart. Why do something like that? Even Marcelo and Bale went to have a talk with Varane, was just stupid his team had already won, he only did that to cause a reaction which is shameful in a situation like that. He kicked an errant football towards him, what are you even on about? Flipping a lid in those circumstances wouldn't even enter my mind. It's nowt. Alright, we'll agree to disagree. One isn't kicking on someone already down. You'd probably kick on a homeless as well right? I guess it's a cultural thing. In SA we show respect towards people who are already down Stop being a knob, I have plenty of respect and sympathy for the homeless. Cheers.
  5. That's actually quite a ridiculous amount Is he the one that's won the most? He is now, yeah. f***ing genius. He cultivates good feeling amonst his players and compounds it with composure and tactical brilliance. He's a level-headed more intelligent Keegan, basically. Bob Paisley has 3 CL wins as well btw. Doesn't matter though, wouldn't surprise me to see him get a few more while at Real. They have such a good team, and if they can spend wisely (not that I think Bale money was wise) than they can really maybe take a leap ahead of all teams for a year or two.

  9. What I'd do to have Simeone and Klopp in the same league

  11. That's actually quite a ridiculous amount Is he the one that's won the most? Do think he needs to get this Real to learn how to play when trying to control the game, Real have been very convincing when having to counter but unconvincing when favourites. I know it wasn't like this at Chelsea, but at Milan it was the same story, his team was much better when it could counter-attack all day. Will be interesting to see what they do in the summer, they really need a new striker and some depth at right-back. (really dislike Arbeloa and Carvajal is still learning)
  12. Just seen what Varane did. Poor form. Things like that deserves a beating. There's absolutely no point in doing that, say what you want about handballing and winning at all costs, but there's nothing worse than rubbing things in the face of the losing team.
  13. All these plastic Real fans with ''12 YEARS WAIT OVER'' on my newsfeed. FUCK YOU! Although I do hope my 12 year WC drought will end this summer as well
  14. Disgusting. Simeone's been brilliant this year but playing Costa cost them the win imo. Even though he's played only 9 minutes and Atletico where minutes from winning it? Okay, buddy. Yes. They lost because they ran out of legs. 1 more pair of fresh legs could've won the game for them. At 75 minutes their legs had totally gone. Don't think that would've mattered, the team that scores the goal to tie it into extra time always have more energy. I'll let you two experts argue it out. Experts. Nah I'd love to hear your insight into this, Modric is such an overrated player and you're the only one that sees it so you must be the expert. Somethings in football just isn't subjective. You can't just spout s*** and expect it to be taken lightly For a supposedly creative player, what did he create tonight? He had the ball countless times but hardly did anything productive. How many goals does he get as well, btw? Great technique and lovely passing but doesn't produce enough cutting edge moments. That is all. A creative player that doesn't contribute enough in creating or scoring chances yet you think he's world class. Go back to your Playstation. Modric plays a different role than he did with Tottenham and does with Croatia. He doesn't play as a 10 anymore but effectively plays box to box just as the other two in Real's midfield. Modric is the kind of player that dictates tempo, spreads play and stretches defenses all the while doing an insane amount of closing down when off the ball. It would be unfair to judge Modric only on an assist or goals basis as Real Madrid doesn't really have to rely on him for those with the likes of Bale, Ronaldo and Benzema in the team. He does so much more and is an invaluable asset of this Real team. That's not really even up for debate. I realise that he's that kind of player. Just don't agree that he's world class. For someone that was bought for around £30m I expect better. What's world class in your opinion then? I was just disagreeing that he's the most overrated player in the world. I don't think he's the best in the World but he's definitely a top 10 in his position in my opionion.

  16. That's absolutely depressing I don't know how many times Newcastle have been in the European Cup/Champs League, but they've probably won it more times than we've participated in it right? Nottingham Forest have won as many European Cups as what we've competed in as a club. Maybe we're not as big as we think we are? I'm so depressed at this shit. It's been what, 12 years since we were in the CL?
  17. Ancelotti with Alonsos and Marcelos sons.
  18. Wiki Maxwell. There we talk about medal collection and limited player.

  20. Passed a loose ball to Simeone after Ronaldo scored. Seemed f***ing pointless. I'd be livid if I was in Simeone's situation as well, might seem harmless, but it's a kick in the nuts when you've just beaten the team. Weird, on the replay they showed he kicked it back but didn't go after him straight away. Even seemed to be retreating. He was also applauding the Real goals. Maybe something was said afterwards. I didn't see it btw. Was just saying that if Varane deliberately passed a ball towards his feet when he could've passed it anywhere else I'd be livid as Simeone in a moment like that where you're trying to be sporting.
  21. That's absolutely depressing
  22. Marcelo and Isco made the difference tbf, Di Maria was their only spark but it wasn't until those two came on as they started controlling the game.
