OMG MIKE WON AGAINST GERMANY! :frantic: :frantic: Did Steven Gerrard or Suarez score Mike?
-
Colo is still a better defender, at least for now.
-
He still lacks positional sense at the back too and I think he's better suited for a league where he can bring the ball forward without being punished. He's improved, but there is still a long way before he is that player a lot of people knows he can be.
-
Both seem like very good deals. David Luiz is more suited for that league too.

Look at meet, look at me, just getting back from Maracana, Pathetic.
-
VI if Neymar keeps this form, you've guys been ripped off. Been 10 games or so now in 2013 that he's been poor.
-
Wow, we are both shit. Just got back from Maracana, and while we might have looked much better on the ball we have nowhere near the attacking intent that we need. England got two chances and put them away, loved both of your goals, the tempo was completely another to our team. Was some good goals around but other than that it was a typical friendly. Also, Rio de Janeiro has a shit load to learn, almost didn't get into the stadium, as our printed tickets were invalid and apparently you had to go somewhere an 30mins away from the stadium by car to get them. Online tickets aren't barcoded, luckily found some guy who wanted to sell his friends ticket and bought a new one. Was some swiss guy who had paid almost £300 for his ticket and couldn't get in because he hadn't picked the tickets up, nowhere around the stadium was there a place to pick it up, and you had to do it the day before. Disorganised and quite an embarrassment to see the outside of Maracana still in construction. The inside was beautiful, although it still need more work, especially the announcer was hard to listen too. Public transport was working properly though which was nice and hopefully for 2014 it will be even better.

That Spain team is by far the strongest. Muniain, Isco and Thiago

I was watching my 2nd team, Corinthians play yesterday and I would love a DM a la Ralf. He might be a bit unrealistic with him being linked to some bigger clubs (€22m to Bayern being rumoured), but still, he's the type of defensive midfielder who would work perfectly with Moussa and Cabaye. He has the ability to create from deep, pass the ball around well but best of all he's like Tiote on his good day defensively every game, wins so many duels in the middle of the park and covers for the defence. We really need someone like that, that can anchor that midfield.
-
Absolutely, wasn't really justifying him missing loads of chances, what I'm saying is a lot of people are harsh on him as he is obviously better as a poacher in many ways but worked almost harder than any one else in the team this season even if the goals didn't come. He lacks some brain, and I do believe £20-25m would be an extremely good deal for him.

Whatever the stats maybe he certainly wasn't playing in his preferred position until Ba left - which was really the point I was trying to get across. The service to him after that was poor at best hence why 'imo' he did brilliant to score the goals he did. the servive he got wasn't great but he did miss a good few chances that most premier league forwards would've put away. Which premier league forwards? shane long, steven fletcher, etc. cisses service wasn't great but the chances he got were often very good and imo other forwards would have made better from them. Fair enough, but he didn't get the same consistency in terms of playing style and position as those guys in many ways, also he scored like a billion goals that weren't counted. How do you work that out? He played approximately half the season alongside Ba, and half the season up front on his own. Barely missed a game (fortunately). Made 47 appearances. He's a striker; for the vast majority of the season he played as one. I have plenty of faith in him coming good again and in many games the service up to him was laughable, but he had a very poor season individually and the stuff about his playing position has been overstated to a ridiculous degree. Because for the first half of the season he was switched constantly during games between right wing and as the central striker with Ba. He wasn't the main man as the Fletcher was at Sunderland, he might not have started many games officially on the right, but he played a lot of match time drifting out wide and helping out defensively which other strikers in this league would never do, or any league for that matter.

Hypocrite or the media exaggerating week ago?
-
Cool, I'll bet some money they'll be close to selling out every game with the signings they've made. Even if that means the Russian president buying half the tickets for himself.

I think it's pretty obvious that under this manager and with the failings of the current playing staff, Carroll would be an excellent addition for the right price. He'd solve a number of huge problems.
-
If we sell Cisse in order to bring back Carroll I will be absolutely murdering people on this forum if Carroll flops. College Dropuout and Cronky will be high up on the list closely followed by TT and Unbelievable. In all honesty I Couldn't see Carroll struggling to get around 8 league goals for us, even with his injuries. I'd imagine he'd do a lot more for his team as well, not just assists (hanz) TBF he's only gotten more than 8 goals in the PL in a season once in his career that Andy lad.
-
Why exactly is he a poison? I don't get this, I think he contributes far more to the PL in terms of generating viewers than Mike Williamson, and no body is calling him a poison except us on here. I think the PL will lose an interesting character even if he is an absolute prick.

Well I can promise you those income won't be accurate come next season, people tend to forget that better players brings more sponsorships and makes the club more attractive for the general fans visiting Monaco. I have no doubt their economy will go backwards for many years just like City, Chelsea, PSG but at the same time it's shown that you can buy success... Chelsea and ManCity are not even close to break even. Even with sham sponsorships like City's. Aye, I did make that point though didn't I? What I said is that their income won't be as bad as they'll get more income. They'll still have a negative turnover for many many years to come, but there's no way they'll have a mere €21m in income.

Yeah, pathetic man for wanting more money while also being part of an interesting project. I bet you wouldn't leave your job for a better paid one if you got the chance would you? Yeah I would, then again I'm not doing what I love for my job and getting paid a ridiculous amount to do so. How do you know he loves football? Maybe he does, but that argument gets reeled out quite a lot and I must confess I don't buy into it. He might have wanted to become a basketballer but was too short? In the end it's like I said, it's the nature of the business sides of things, no matter what or where you work, most want to earn more. Unfortunately.

Yeah, pathetic man for wanting more money while also being part of an interesting project. I bet you wouldn't leave your job for a better paid one if you got the chance would you? It's a bit different when leaving a £40k a year job for a £50k a week one. Falcao could no doubt get an offer where he earns as much a week that most 'normal' people will get in a couple of years working. This argument never works for me. Sorry to tell you that this is how the world works, no matter what business, no matter how much money, people with ambition wants to succeed, money is usually a symbol of success even if it's usually not true. I find it extremely interesting that we now have a another club with mega money in a very decent but not that respected league. The French league now has two forces to be reckoned with in Europe along with two big big clubs (OM and OL) who could do well in Europe. It's interesting in my opinion at least. Yeah, pathetic man for wanting more money while also being part of an interesting project. I bet you wouldn't leave your job for a better paid one if you got the chance would you? Pretty sure he'd been able to get an huge contract elsewhere and still progress in his career. Absolutely, but as good? Why won't he be able to succeed at Monaco? They're strengthening like PSG and might be playing CL football soon and doing better than Atletico are. He is assured of a good salary, good project, being the main man and probably success in one way or another. Don't see how his choice can be criticised.

Though it was only the Norwegians? Even the Swedish, Danish and Finnish are wrong?

Getting defensive VI. Also, none of my friends that I watch football with are Brazilian. This is the scandinavian Felipao speaking: Alba is a prick.
